If I could choose zero, I would or even give a negative value to Writers Republic. I ordered a book from a young author over a month ago. I understand publishing and that there can be delays, but my friend ordered at the same time and has received her book.

Then after two weeks of trying to get a response, they called me and said they had reshipped my book. The date they gave me was days before the date of my first complaint. So I guess they are mind-readers now.

I'm in Canada, and their 1-877 number won't work from Ontario, so I asked for their New Jersey number. I was given a number that goes to a personal cellphone of someone who has nothing to do with the company

I am a published author and was considering Writers Republic for my books. Never! Please beware that his company does not have your best interests or customers' best interests at heart.

I paid them USD $10000 for services, but few services appeared. Yes, they did print a few books and do the cover design, did a "treatment" for Hollywood, and I got one radio interview that was supposed to be national, but it was in Tucson on one radio station at 11:00 PM on Christmas Eve.

Writers Republic promised me the book would be stocked in bookstores, and I had to pay all these heavy stocking "fees" upfront, but the book was never stocked. My requests for details on exactly what I was paying for were ignored. I got one quarterly payment, and then all payments stopped. Requests for an audited sales report were ignored.

Essentially, it is a total scam based in the Philippines. All their reported close "connections" with book publishers, bookstores, Hollywood, media, etc., do not exist except in their little minds.
