• Environmental hormone disruptors lower your age at menopause?! ➳ What the research says
    Nov 13 2025

Dear listener, I’m now well into the first term of my research studies with Torrens University, and I wanted to share some info with you. I’m looking at the impact of endocrine disruptor chemicals (EDCs) on womens hormones through perimenopause and menopause. Listen to this episode for a concise overview of how these chemicals influence four key aspects (or ‘phenotypes’) of the menopausal transition.

    1. The impact on menstrual cycle regularity and bleeding

    2. The influence on the age we achieve menopause at

    3. The influence on fertility in our 40s

    4. The influence on ovarian function

  • High on Histamine ➳ Symptoms, Nutrients + Herbs ep.40
    Sep 24 2025

In this episode I’m diving into the what, why and how of Histamine Intolerance, an emerging condition in women particularly, that can be aggravated when our hormones are fluctuating. With the inflammatory nature of histamine intolerance, it can be hard to differentiate this condition from perimenopause, autoimmune disease, allergies and other chronic inflammatory conditions. I go over the typical symptoms you’d expect to experience, and then we dive into what’s called the ‘metabolism’ of histamine, meaning, how it get broken down and removed.

Sometimes that doesn’t happen so we end up with too much in our bodies! Also I share recent research on high histamine foods and there’s one major culprit. Can you guess what it is?

    Enjoy!

    Xo Sulin
