  • La carrera más importante en Bélgica se disputó sin el héroe local Wout Vanaert, quien desafortunadamente tuvo una grave caída hace unos días con varios huesos fracturados. El otro gran favorito, Mathieu Vanderpoel asumo toda la responsabilidad de la carrera, junto con su equipo Alpecin, atacó de lejos en el temido muro de Koppenberg, con casi 40 kms por delante, y consiguió llegar en solitario en la línea de meta en Oudenaarde.
    Detrás del ciclista holandés, pudimos asistir a una lucha muy serrada por los dos otros puestos en el podium. Finalmente el italiano Luca Mozzato y el alemán Niels Politt pudieron acompañar a Vanderpoel en el podium final.
