  • Summary

  • Northeast Mississippi Community College President Dr. Ricky G. Ford sits down with Marketing and Public Relations Specialist Liz Calvery to discuss the Northeast Honors Institute and its recent Honors Symposium where students involved in the Honors Institute on campus were allowed to present their research-based topics to Northeast employees, students and the community. Students presented their findings in a variety of styles from 10-15 minute presentations, to poster presentations and even in comic book form to help get their message across about their studies. Ford talks about the importance of the Honors Institute and what the future holds for the organization. To wrap up, Ford gives listeners the Northeast News and discusses the college's retirement ceremony and who is retiring at the end of the 2023-2024 academic year, athletics, academics, workforce, student activities, and human resources, along with many more important things happening at one of the nation’s top community colleges.
