With teeth like icicles and breath like a winter storm, Gefroren the Ancient White Dragon tears away at what is left of Artis, the Great Ice Spirit of the North. Artis’ final hour is at hand. As he barely clings onto life, so does Mak. The Misfit 7 rush to save Artis, and through saving him save Mak. But will they be able to help their dying friend? And will she still be the same once this adventure is done?

After leaving the Slipstream, the Misfit 7 find themselves arriving on the cold northern island of Reseah, home of Artis, the Great Ice Spirit of the North. The icy climate underlies the pain that slowly eats away at Mak. Mak can feel her time is coming to a close. Led by Marmalade through the snowy tundra, the party heads closer to the creature that is attacking Artis: an ancient white dragon.

Docked in Brant Bay, the Glass Jack stands at the ready, prepared to ferry the Misfit 7 to the large island nation of Reseah, home of Artis, the Great Ice Spirit of the North. The anchor raises and the sails unfurl as the party sets sail for a new adventure. However, they leave behind more than just the metropolis of Furg as the venture out to sea. And little do they know that their trip will take them far below the dark ocean waves.

The race to save Mak is on! After receiving unexpected aid from the reformed Phantom Express (formerly the Phantom Pirates), the Misfit 7 begin to gather their belongings and prepare for their journey. The Melody of Fate can wait: their friend needs their help now.

But will they be able to save Rex from his impending end?

Time is running out for Bondin. His father lies somewhere in Furg, broken and bleeding, while every single hunch he follows seems to take him and the other Misfits nowhere. Something dark works against them, and the hours turn into days as they struggle to rescue their friend’s parent. And all-the-while, the light inside of Mak starts to dim…
