  • urgency
    Feb 7 2025

You just walked into season 4 of Take With A Grain Of Salt. Welcome! I am happy to see you here, building our little spiritual oasis one episode at a time. In this episode, I am speaking on urgency. What it means and how to dismantle it from being a driving force in our day to day. I say the word, "urgency", probably about 30+ times in this episode lol, so hopefully something sticks for you. Most of my life, I can only remember acting on the urgency for others, which manifested to crippling anxiety for years. I also noticed it bleeding into my creativity. This topic really hits home for me and I hope it resonates with you, you little earthling, as well. I have a lot of love for you and I hope you find some peace from it. See you soon. Mwah.

The general timeline for this episode:

0:00-3:00 : The struggles of being a bleeding woman

3:00-6:30 : How does urgency show up in our life?

    6:30-11:11 : Trust vs Fear

11:11-16:00 : How urgency shows up in relationships

16:00-25:10 : How urgency shows up in creative projects

25:10-28:20 : "The fastest way to get somewhere is to go after it slowly"

    28:20-29:32 : Kiss you goodbye

  • a stroll down 2024: my main takeaways!
    Dec 15 2024

Hi! In this episode, I strip back my entire year of 2024. What I have learned and held in my hands, playing hot potato. Hopefully this discussion resonates with any listener who is reflecting on this past year. You are completely allowed to dismiss this one because it is a lot of me talking about well, me...however! Why not be open to finding some magic though someone else's words? Who knows what can spark within you. Anyways, I am very grateful for this podcast hub, my little oasis, this life diary of mine - especially the content produced this past year. I hope you enjoyed it too.

    xoxo

  • training for a half marathon: goal setting & knowing when to put ideas to bed
    Nov 15 2024
Helllllllooooooo happy November! Happy Full Moon! Wow, we are really reaching the end of the year! This episode feels very close to me. I feel like the past few months, a lot has been on everyone's plates. We have been exposed to emotions that seem so foreign to us. I can say that confidently for myself. I achieved a goal this past week that I never casually assumed would even be a part of my story. I ran a half marathon! Not only did I just run for 13 miles, I submerged so much of my physical and emotional self in training up to that day. The journey is what I take from this, ultimately not the destination. Even though that day was so delicious and sweet. In this episode, I talk about goal setting and knowing when to put your creative ideas to bed...FOR NOW! Because remember! When we put something to bed, it will always wake up. There will always be an alarm clock or a gentle rise. I hope you enjoy this conversation, it really came from the heart. xoxo. MWAH!

  • our feelings are here to tell us what we need, not who we are!
    Oct 17 2024
Hi hi hi hi, thanks for listening. In this episode I discuss about the acceptance of fleeting feelings. What do I mean by that? Did you know that our emotions only sustain around 90 seconds in the physical body? That seems fake, right? Because we all know what it feels like to be riddled with anxiety for months and consumed with depression for years. In this earthly experience, we are not just our physical make-up, we have the mind...and the mind (aka the Ego) attaches to the beauty of feelings. What a remarkable thing, yet can be quite exhausting. If we allow the Awareness of who we all actually are, a magnificent bundle of energy, to only notice what our physical body brings up (anger, sadness, thrill, shame, jealousy, and on), we wouldn't need to be drowned in feelings that seem so heavy to swim in. If you are someone who would rather a one sentence of what I am trying to explain (sorry, I am a gemini moon), then here. Our feelings are not here to tell us who we are, they are here to tell us what we need. They don't last forever and what a blessing! Hear me out. :)

  • YAPPING WITH MADDY: intuition vs anxiety
    Sep 6 2024

Oh, I loved this discussion! I talk about how to notice your intuitive whispers and how to let it guide you on decision-making. Anxiety LOVES to justify, LOVES to convince, LOVES to analyze. Intuition never yells, it never convinces, it never tempts - it only tells and it only knows. What a remarkable source of freedom we have!! I am no master, I am only a learner and a beginner...which makes this even more enticing. Because I only know what I experience, and I have experienced peace and guidance from following that whisper within. It is not a skill we "earn". It is not a "reward" we get for being good. The only reward is being able to have full, unlimited access to it at any moment. xoxo Maddy

  • YAPPING WITH RYLEE: magick fungus ambience, in a rainstorm
    Aug 15 2024

The concept of this episode is no concept, enjoy! <3 Literally, listen to this while doing something else, that's really the only way you'll enjoy this. But Rylee and I went away for a couple of days to our favorite Airbnb and decided to take some magick garden fungus...we ended up painting and answering some We're Not Really Strangers questions.

*apologies for static audio in some moments!!!! it's because it was STORMING cats and dogs!!!!!*
