    So many of us allow too many things to have access to our hearts and minds. But if you’re ready to take your peace back, it starts with closing those doors and making room for God again. In this episode, I walk you through how to set real boundaries to help you heal from the past and take your peace back! You will also hear how forgiveness is the most powerful boundary to set.     It's finally here! Honestly, I don't know why I waited so long to give this to you. In today's episode, I am introducing the four-part series on "Overcoming Anxiety Through Faith." I'm getting real with this one and sharing my personal struggle with anxiety and how my faith in God guided me to overcome it. As someone who suffered for years under anxiety's control, I know how few resources there are for this. I always knew I could beat anxiety, but I never knew how. That's why I created this series for you. In Part 1, you will learn the importance of belief, defining your faith, and declaring affirmations to counter anxiety - plus HOW to do all these things. There are key scriptures and practical exercises, such as journaling and consistent faith declarations, to help you start your journey toward an anxiety-free life. The most important detail for all of this to work is patience and diligence. "Let patience have her perfect work, that you may be mature and complete, lacking nothing."   • #96 | Girl, It's Time to Get Your Hope Back!

    Are you struggling to feel hopeful? Does it seem like every time you get ready to trust God, you suffer another loss? After experiencing so much disappointment, it can become all to easy to reject hope and settle for less.

    YET, even in the middle of all of that hopelessness, somehow you still managed to click on this podcast. The truth is that you are actually more hopeful than you think, but you're hiding it. You've chosen to numb yourself to possibility and, I get it, that's a safe choice.

    But "the God of hope" is calling you out of that safe place, out onto the waters again. Without hope, we can't have faith! (Hebrews 11:1) And I will not sit quietly and watch you throw that hope away for fear of failing again.

    It's time to reignite the fire, shake off the past (and the present), and lean into your hope again. I invite you to cast whatever you have left on Jesus, and watch Him do wonders!

  • #95 | How I Ended My Anxious Food Aversion So I Could Enjoy Eating Again!

    Have you ever skipped a meal because you were afraid it would make you sick? Have you ever cooked a meal and didn't eat it because you feared it was unsafe to eat? It's a crazy concept, but anxious food aversion can make us feel this way! I personally have eaten the same things over and over because anything new or different made me afraid. But that is no way to live! Throughout the Bible, God used food as a means of celebration. He even established communion to remember Him by! Yet, anxiety can cause us to forfeit the benefits of a good meal, all for unnecessary fears. Today, I share with you my story of how God healed me, and slowly walked me through renewing my mind around eating. I went from eating the same things over and over again, to exploring new foods, and now I purposefully choose new restaurants and recipes just to expand my tastebuds! My prayer is that you hear something that will ignite your faith, give you hope, and a reason to leave that silly fear of food behind. Let's dive in!

    If you are struggling to believe God, to know what to believe, or even how to maintain your faith through these hard times, this episode is for you.

    Here's the thing - this is not a magic potion. I don't have a magic wand to wave over you to make your faith come alive. What I do have are 3 simple steps to help YOU revive your faith, and believe God again.

    1. Commit to believing God and doing what it takes.
    2. Get into a good church where you can hear the word of God - in truth!

    4. Bonus tip: Maintain consistency. (Don't hit it and quit it!)

    Will God still use me if I am anxious? Isn't anxiety a sin? How can God choose someone who can't even trust Him not to fear?!

    "Do not be afraid" is mentioned in the Bible 365 times - that's one time for every day of the year! Yet somehow, fear shows up in our lives anyway. Being afraid or anxious doesn't disqualify us from being used by God. Though fear may try to stop us, God has given us the "power, love, and sound mind" (2 Timothy 1:7) to overcome it, and to fulfill the purpose on our lives. But how do we know this to be true?

    The Bible lists many examples of people who overcame their anxieties to do God's will - David, Elijah, and yes, even Jesus, struggled with this same obstacle. Nevertheless, they fulfilled all that was their calling, and more. Today, we will take a look at how these great men pushed beyond their fears and offer you 3 practical applications to help you do the same.   • #91 | These Anxiety Techniques Did NOT Work for Me - Here's What Did

    The 3-3-3 technique, meditation, prayer, prayer, and more prayer... all methods that I tried and should have eased my anxiety! Right?

    Well, the truth is, that these techniques were only mild symptom suppressors, and didn't actually provide me the tools to even come close to managing it better. Even prayer didn't seem to be working! Until, I discovered what my root problem was and fixed it.

    Once I figured out the main issue hindering my progress, I was able to move forward. Now, I'm living in peace daily, no longer under anxiety's control, and I have the tools in my back pocket to keep it that way.

    If any of these techniques work for you, please keep it up! My goal is not to discredit what is working for you, rather to share my story and what worked for me.

    But if you are like me, and these methods haven't worked, then my friend, I might have a thing or two up my sleeve to help you today.
