About this listen

Saints are people just like (presumably) you and me: But hopefully unlike you and me, they often meet their Maker in the most bizarre, tragic ways imaginable. Katie, a literature-loving attorney, and her fiance, Andrew, a history-loving film buff, are two Catholic school survivors. While we didn’t learn how to do taxes, we did spend plenty of hours learning Catholic dogma. Join us every Friday as we explore the histories and lore surrounding the holy individuals recognized by the Catholic Church as saints (with a bit of dark humor inherited from religion class).© 2025 Patron Saint of Podcasts World

St. Drogo is the patron saint of coffee (maybe?), hernias, and unattractive people. But why? Travel back to the 1100s and think about your ex while we tell you the tale about a man (not from Game of Thrones) who just wanted some gosh darn peace and quiet (and to kiss some babies).

    St. Drogo, pray for us
