    The Food and Drug Administration, Global Mix, Inc,and World Green Nutrition, Inc have recalled tejocote and herbal supplements sold under the following brands: Eva Nutrition, Science of Alpha, Niwali, NWL Nutra, and ELV Control Herbal Supplement. Though labeled as containing tejocote root or other herbs, they contain the highly toxic yellow oleander that triggers neurological, gastrointestinal, and cardiovascular consequences that may be severe and fatal.


    These tejocote supplements were sold in: Alabama, Alaska, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Iowa, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, New Carolina, New York, New Jersey, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming. They were sold sold online at: Etsy.com, amazon.com, Eva-nutrition.com, tejocotemexican.com, Niwali.com, and scienceofalpha.com.
