  • leadership for tomorrow with John Paik
    May 9 2024

John Paik comes to LifeDesign+ thanks to an introduction from Grace Nikae, a former guest of the show.

In this episode we cover some of John's career and how he landed a job at Nike thanks to a cold email, which was followed up with the work ethic and mindset to progress up the professional ranks. We also talk about his views on leadership, branding, some talk on the best Nikes, and the Adidas campaign for Anthony Edwards' first shoe--I couldn't have a fellow sneakerhead on and not talk shoes!

Make sure you give John a follow and check out his podcast if you're interested in hearing more about his days at Nike.

  • George Kinder's The Seven Stages Of Money Maturity (Part 1 of 3)
    Apr 25 2024

In the first of three episodes covering George Kinder's The Seven Stages Of Money Maturity, I cover the first phase, Childhood, which includes the stages of Innocence and Pain.

The Seven Stages Of Money Maturity is a book I read years ago, and as I revisited it during the EVOKE training for the Kinder Institute's Of Life Planning, it hit me a little more--I had a better understanding of what George was trying to teach.

In the ever-important alignment of spirit, mind, body, and money, maturing towards higher levels of money maturity is an important part of the Pursuit.

I'll be breaking down the phases of Adulthood and Maturity in the next two book review episodes.

I highly recommend purchasing a copy of the book to be able to do some of the exercises and answer the questions at the end of the chapters.
