  • Larry Kreider and Merle Shenk on Team Building: The Wall and Scaffolding Principle
    Jun 4 2025

Navigating team building is an inevitable part of the leadership journey, and every leader will encounter rejection from people leaving their teams. In this episode, Larry Kreider and Merle Shenk explore the leadership principle of the Wall and Scaffolding. They discuss how receiving a vision from God and building a team does not mean everyone on the team is called long-term. Drawing from their own experiences, Larry and Merle share how some people are there to help you start, some people are there to help you build, and some people are there to be part of the wall.

    Highlights:

    • 1 Peter 2:5
    • When people move on, it can be challenging not to take it personally. However, it's important to remember the fact that our security comes from knowing who we are in Christ.
    • When building teams, it is healthy to build in evaluations as part of your team development.
    • We all have blind spots. It is helpful to ask your team, “What can I do better? How can I be a better leader?”
    • Scaffolding is not meant to be permanent; it serves its purpose and then moves on. Our desire is for everyone to be positioned where God has called them in His Kingdom.
    • There is such power in affirmation and encouragement. So even when people move on, it is important that we affirm them, bless them, and remember that we are Kingdom people.

  • Mosel Royer on The Exception: An Abundant Healed Life is Possible
    May 21 2025

Larry Kreider is joined by Mosel Royer to discuss her new book, The Exception, and her passion for helping others find mental and emotional healing. Mosel vulnerably shares her own story of overcoming wounds from unforgiveness, pain, racism, fear, and anxiety, highlighting the powerful steps she took with the support of trusted individuals and her deep faith in the Lord to find healing in her life.

Mosel Royer is an author, speaker, and ministry leader, but most of all, she is a follower of Jesus. She has been in some form of leadership for over twenty years and enjoys encouraging other people in their leadership giftings. She currently serves as the pastor of The River House Church and as the co-founder and visionary behind BLAZE Women’s Movement. Mosel has been married to her husband, Rodney, for twenty-five years, and they have four amazing children: Jazmine, Micah (Jazmine’s husband), Christian, and Jonathan.

    Highlights:

    • As a leader, it is important, when appropriate, to open up about your own journey of healing. This vulnerability not only helps you grow but also inspires others to seek their own path to healing.
    • If you are seeking healing in any aspect of your life, take the first step by being honest and sharing your journey with a trusted pastor, friend, therapist, and/or mentor.

Danny discusses setting healthy boundaries, unravels the true meaning of fostering a culture of honor, explores the value of covenant relationships, and dives into even more insightful topics from his life experiences and numerous books.

Danny Silk is an author and speaker. He offers life-changing books, conferences, and other resources drawn from decades of experience as a counselor, social worker, advocate, pastor, spouse, parent, grandparent, and leader.
