Failed Dreams and Hopes With Karen Omand

  • Summary

  • Karen's parents divorced when she was young. Then, as an adult, she went into an abusive marriage, finally divorcing after 20 years. Early in Karen's marriage, both of her parents died suddenly.

At the end of her marriage, Karen felt drained. She felt worthless with low self-esteem and little self-confidence. The only light in her life was her two daughters.

Karen is now a divorce coach, a recovery expert and a thanatologist. Her book 'The Divorce Workbook' is due out shortly.

In this episode, Karen tells her story, and we talk about the grief we both suffered during our divorce and beyond.
