Episode 56: Leonard Lake and Charles Ng

  • Summary

  • Leonard Lake and Charles Ng are two of the most infamous and horrible names in all of true crime, the first to document their horrific deeds on video tape. The savagery and inhumanity of these two ex-Marines is soul shattering and evil beyond belief.

Today we document the life of Leonard Lake: his childhood in San Francisco, his time in Vietnam, his exploits as a hippie and pot grower on a commune in the redwoods of Mendocino County, how he used a unicorn goat at a Renaissance Festival to seduce a woman named Cricket, who’d become an accomplice in his deviant sexual escapades.

Investigators believe as many as twenty-five bodies, including at least two infants, would eventually be burned, buried and spread throughout the forests of the Sierra Nevada foothills where Cricket had a cabin and let Leonard Lake and his friend Charles Ng live.
