Episode 28 - Queer Spectrum Film Festival and Dublin's Gay Theatre Festival

  • Summary

  • It's giving ART this week on Queeriosity!

After being postponed last November, the Queer Spectrum Film Festival takes place from April 27th. To tell us all about it we are joined once again by organiser Pradeep Mahadeshawar and film maker Salvador Alejandro Gutierrez.

21 years after its inception, Dublin's Gay Theatre Festival continues to go from strength to strength. Ahead of this years edition, founder Brian Merriman chats to us about how important the festival is to the community, how pieces are selected to appear in the line-up and what to expect when the festival kicks off on the 6th of May.

We are chatting about a children's book inspired by Mariah Carey in our Rainbow Round Up and James tells us the wonderful story of Michaél MacLiammóir and Hilton Edwards in this week's Reeling In The Queers!

If you would like to reach out to Pádraig or James their social media handles are @Padraig_WMC and @Jameso_Hagen or email queeriosity@dublincityfm.ie.
