Ecclesiastes: Wisdom Literature, Four of Five

  • Summary

  • We've made it to our Third Season, The Wisdom Books of the Bible.

In this episode, we studied the Book of Ecclesiastes, the fourth book of the Wisdom Literature Series.  It's believed that this book was written towards the end of Solomon's life as he's reflecting back over his life and his desire is to pass along his wisdom to us.

We covered this book in 3 sections:

    1. (1:1-11) – Introducing the Issue
    2. (1:12-12:8) - Looking at the Meaning of Life
    3. (12:9-14) – Importance of Focusing on God

Solomon was the author for most of the book.  He wrote Ecclesiastes to show that material things fade away and the real meaning of life can only be found in things from above.   Everything is Vanity!  Solomon was the wisest person to ever live! he's the WOAT... Wisest Of All Time!

The book of Ecclesiastes answers the question, "What's my purpose?"  Our purpose is to Fear God and Enjoy Life!

Who are we?  We're two life-long friends who share the same Christian values and are both seeking a deeper relationship with God. Join us as we drop knowledge from our study of God’s word. For the next 365 days, we're on a mission to study God’s word from cover-to-cover. Each week you’ll hear raw, unedited and thought-provoking conversations, as well as actionable tips and strategies that you can implement in your daily walk to become a more intentional Christian.
