We share an update concerning new medications and struggling with the financial challenges tied to that. We openly discuss the challenges of making any marriage successful and then how a cancer diagnosis adds an additional layer of difficulty to the marriage equation. The concerns about making the correct medical decisions, the worries about what the future holds, trying to figure out how to pay for everything, etc.

I give an update concerning my bone marrow biopsy results and the prognosis based on these results. Then we shared a specific incident during this period where we felt like God challenged me to be honest with myself. We also discussed how our faith in God and a relationship with God produced a joy that is still present in these crazy & dark days.

I discuss our first 2 weeks after the diagnosis and how I was overwhelmed by my thoughts. I discuss the importance of being intentional about what we think about and being more disciplined concerning where our focus is.
