    Our first interview of the year with Sargent Stephanie Shannon, a black women vet that found healing in agriculture, and brings “dirt therapy” and ag business education to others.

    Stephanie Is the CEO of Michigan Women Veteran Empowerment. She uses her platform to provide ag and business education for kids.

    She also uses her voice to advocate for women suffering from assault in the military.Her book “Battling the Storm Within” tells her story of surviving sexual assault in the military and healing her PTSD.

    In this interview Stephanie shares how god lead her to agriculture to heal and where it has brought her today.

    FoodCorps is a non profit organization which supports garden and nutrition education for children across the country.

    Women in Agriculture farm development center was an incubator farm aimed to support new women farmers. This operation was funded and supported by Asension Hospital and Michigan Food and Farming systems
