• Thank God For Everything (TGIF) - Praising God When Troubled: "Calling On Technology"
    Jun 6 2025

On today's episode, I'm so excited to share the incredible ways God works through technology. What began as a simple chat with my cousin Mr. Moody about our parents, health, and gratitude, turned into something extraordinary - I ended up creating an AI-produced song in just 30 minutes that captures the heart of what we're always talking about: Thank God For Everything.

But this episode goes deeper than just gratitude and technology. We're diving into those real, raw moments when your faith gets tested to the core. Whether you're dealing with grief from loss, watching a parent struggle with dementia, or facing financial challenges that shake your foundation, this message is for you. I'm talking about that fair-weather fan mentality - it's easy to praise God when everything's going well, but what happens when life gets difficult? Even Jesus questioned God on the cross, so if you're struggling with doubt right now, you're in good company.

I want you to know that those tests are preparing you for your testimony. Just like Jesus wrestled for three days and rose again, you're going to rise from whatever you're facing right now. This isn't just motivational talk - this is real life, real faith, and real hope for anyone who feels like they're wrestling with the devil in their circumstances.

    So tune in now: https://linktr.ee/cousinedscorner

Please, let this message bless your heart. And also, don't forget to let me know what you think about the song I created with the help of technology. I love hearing from each and every one of you, and your feedback means the world to me. Share this episode with someone who needs to hear that they're not alone in their struggle and that their breakthrough is coming. Let's keep building and celebrating our faith journeys together!

  • Motivational Monday - You Never Know Who's Watching And Who Needs You To Be You!!!
    Jun 3 2025

In this episode, I got vulnerable about something I know we all struggle with - that nagging voice that asks "why am I doing this?" and "is anybody even listening?" But here's the thing, I had to share a story that completely changed my perspective and reminded me why we keep going even when the doubts get loud.

A few weeks ago, my cousin hit me up out of nowhere with a picture of their TV screen showing Cousin Ed's Corner playing on YouTube. They had no idea I even had a podcast, but somehow the algorithm blessed them with our content, and they were genuinely surprised and delighted. That moment right there reminded me that we never truly know whose life we're touching or whose day we're making better with our authentic voices.

This episode is for every creator, every dreamer, every person putting themselves out there wondering if it matters. Whether you're writing poetry, making body butters, fixing cars, or sharing your healing journey - your genuine effort matters more than you know. I talk about why being your own number one fan isn't just important, it's necessary, and how sometimes that one person you're creating for might just be yourself, and that's perfectly okay. We dive into the power of community support, those simple hearts and "KEEP GOING" comments that fuel us more than we realize, and why authenticity will always win over perfection.

I hope that this episode is that battery in your back, that recharge you need to keep pushing forward with whatever passion project is on your heart. Whether you're thinking about starting that restaurant, writing that book, or sharing your travel dreams - your voice matters, your story matters, and somebody out there needs to hear exactly what you have to say.

  • Thank God For Everything (TGIF) - A 2025 Tribute to Educators and Graduates Everywhere
    May 30 2025

In this episode, we're diving deep into the power of gratitude and the importance of celebrating our journeys, especially as we wrap up another school year. I take time out to reflect on how tough this year has been for everyone - students, teachers, parents, and all the unsung heroes who keep our educational system running. From the A+ scholars to those who struggled to make the grade, from teachers who didn't want to get up on rainy mornings to parents dealing with teenage emotions (y'all know what I'm talking about with my 16-year-old! 😂), we've all been through it. But we made it, family, and that's worth celebrating.

We're also taking time to honor our educators - those servants who stand in the gap when we can't be there, who are severely underpaid for the society-building work they do. I'm also celebrating our people, especially our queens who are leading the way in educational achievement. It's beautiful to see how far we've come, and I had to give flowers where they're due. Plus, I'm shouting out all the 2025 graduates from kindergarten to doctoral programs - every achievement matters and deserves recognition.

I want you to know that this summer isn't just about rest (though you definitely need that!), but about recharging like those Teslas - filling up your tank so you can get back on the road stronger. Whether you're heading into senior year like my baby girl, starting a new career, or continuing your educational journey, this is your time to prepare for what's next. I encourage you to take this time to reflect, relax, and rejuvenate.

  • Memorial Monday - Remembering All of Our Sever Man and Woman That Have Paid The Ultimate Sacrifice
    May 26 2025

In this episode, I'm talking about more than just honoring our fallen service members (though that's absolutely essential). I'm diving into the "quiet deaths" - those service members who didn't die in combat but lost their lives to PTSD, suicide, and other service-related complications. These are the stories we don't always hear about, but they need our recognition and honor just as much.

Also I share what really blew my mind - I learned about the true origins of Memorial Day from Sally McMullin's "BLACK HISTORY We Should All Know." Did you know that Memorial Day was actually started by Black Americans on May 1st, 1865, in Charleston, South Carolina? They were the first to decorate soldiers' graves and create this tradition of remembrance that we now observe nationally. This is the kind of history that should be common knowledge but somehow gets overlooked.

I also want to honor Allen E. Smith, Sally's uncle who served from 1944-1966. Looking at his photo that she shared of him in uniform, you can see the pride and dedication in his face - he represents so many young service members, both men and women, who have given their lives for this country across every generation and every conflict. From World War II to Korea, Vietnam to Desert Storm, Iraq to Afghanistan, and all the conflicts in between - these brave souls have carried the honor and pride of our nation on their shoulders.

This Memorial Day, let's make sure we're telling the complete story and honoring everyone who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to others. From the first responders who ran toward danger on 9/11, the men and women who served multiple tours in Iraq and Afghanistan. Whether they were fighting overseas or serving here at home, whether they were active duty, reserves, or National Guard, they've always carried themselves with dignity and honor. That pride has been a constant thread throughout American history - from the Buffalo Soldiers to the Tuskegee Airmen, from the women who served as nurses in World War II to the female combat soldiers of today. Let's share this with someone who needs to hear it, and let's keep these important conversations going.

    Tune in Now: https://linktr.ee/cousinedscorner

So, sit back, relax, and join me on this journey of remembrance and gratitude. I invite you to listen in, reflect on your own experiences, and share your thoughts with me. Together, let's honor those who have given so much for our freedom.

  • Thank God For Everything (TGIF): ft. Dr. Eric Mansfield - How God's Divine Timing Saves Lives
    May 23 2025

In this episode, I have the honor of sitting down with the incredible Dr. Eric Mansfield, a physician whose journey is nothing short of inspiring. What if I told you that the doctor who now inspires hundreds of thousands daily on social media was once dead in a coma, lost everything in divorce, and accidentally discovered his life calling? I'm not exaggerating - this conversation with Dr. Eric Mansfield shook me to my core.

Listen, I thought I was just interviewing a successful ENT surgeon, but what I got was a masterclass in divine orchestration. This brother went from hating psychiatry to accidentally walking into an ENT surgery - only to discover his mentor was secretly the most powerful person in that entire field. But that's just the beginning of what God had in store.

Dr. Mansfield survived being clinically dead for four days, went through the isolation of divorce where he learned who his real friends were, and discovered that he was just 'one degree different' from his childhood friends who ended up in jail or dead. We're talking about same neighborhood, same choices, but divine intervention made all the difference. Yet it was in his darkest wilderness season that God birthed his social media ministry - his first video hit 250,000 views and changed everything.

This man calls himself 'the smallest hole in the smallest instrument in God's orchestra,' but let me tell you - when God breathes through that instrument, lives transform daily. I watched this happen in real time during our conversation. This isn't just about medical success - it's about divine orchestration, wilderness seasons that birth ministry, and why your greatest breakthrough might come right after your greatest breakdown.

If you're in a wilderness season right now, questioning God's timing, or wondering how your setbacks could become setups - this conversation will shift your entire perspective on gratitude and God's faithfulness. I'm telling you, there were moments during this interview where I had to pause because the Holy Spirit was moving in that room.

Dr. Mansfield reminded me that we're all just one degree away from completely different outcomes, and that should make us grateful for every breath we take.
