Good morning. Southern California. I'm Aaron Jolly. The wind woke up angry today. A High Wind Warning stays in effect until 9 A.M. For the Malibu Coast and Santa Monica Mountains — gusts could slam 60 miles an hour. That's tree-snapping, power-line-dropping wind. If you're in those areas, keep your eyes up. In the next 24 hours. Right now? Fifty-four degrees under clear skies. That north wind is barreling down the state, compressing as it drops, warming us up like a giant hair dryer. Greater Los Angeles climbs to 75 degrees this afternoon under brilliant sunshine. North winds hold at 10 to 15 miles an hour, gusting higher around midday. Tonight brings clear skies and a low near 50. Head south to San Diego County. Patchy fog and drizzle linger until about 8 A.M., then it's off to the races — mostly sunny with a high near 70. The coast stays a touch cooler than LA today. Now the Inland Empire. Areas of fog early, then sunshine and 73 degrees. But hold onto your hat — gusts could hit 35 miles an hour, especially near the mountain passes. Tonight, step outside and catch the full moon rising. With clear skies statewide, it'll be a beauty. Friday looks nearly identical — sunny and mild. Then the weekend brings a classic Santa Ana setup. Saturday warms into the upper 70s. By Sunday? Widespread 80s across the region. Some inland spots could flirt with 85 degrees — about 47 degrees to 47 degrees above normal for early March. A slight chance of showers enters the picture Sunday night into Monday for San Diego County as a low pressure system drifts by. Nothing major, but worth watching. We're gaining over two minutes of daylight now. And the spring equinox sits just two weeks away. Today certainly feels like spring is knocking on the door.
