  • Silence the Critic Within for Greater Focus & Wellbeing
    Apr 18 2024

Welcome to Aging & Spirituality, where we discuss discovering your unrealized potential.

Today, we will discuss how to turn off the imperfect machine.

It's a simple, powerful shift that can boost your happiness: you must focus on what's right, not wrong.

Recently, a yoga class reminded co-host Chris how our focus shapes our experience. For example, a bike-riding child mentally fixated on avoiding a tree ends up hitting it because dwelling on imperfections attracts negativity.

Think about it: how often do we judge ourselves or others? This "imperfection machine" disrupts our flow of love and joy. So what if we could turn it off?

So, here's the challenge: you can turn it off! Practice saying "all is well" and appreciating yourself and others. It's not about ignoring flaws but shifting your energy toward the good.

As Sri Sharadha Devi said, "The world won't end if I refrain from criticizing." Let's cultivate kindness through a more positive lens.
