  • Net op de dag dat Homer, Bart en Lisa een dagje naar het pretpark 'Duff Gardens' plannen, blijkt groottante Gladys 'Dog-Faced' Bouvier overleden. Na de begrafenis toont advocaat Lionel Hutz haar videotestament, waaruit blijkt dat Gladys een eenzame vrouw was. Ze geeft haar nichtjes Patty en Selma de doorleefde boodschap om niet alleen te sterven. 'Start a family, and do it now'. Patty couldn't care less, maar Selma neemt de boodschap ter harte. Enkele mislukte dates later zinkt de moed haar echter in de schoenen. Wanneer Homer ziek wordt na het eten van een rancid sandwich, krijgt Selma de kans om voor één dag een ouder te zijn. 

    'Selma's Choice' is alweer een topepisode uit het geroemde vierde seizoen, propvol hilarische quotes en fragmenten.
