ATMA VISION

By: Cyril Wohrer
  • Summary

  • Welcome to Atma Vision, a sacred space where, along with doing comparative theology, we see the world—and our life in it—through the lens of the sacred texts from the Krishna-Bhakti tradition (under the generic category of "greater Hinduism").
Your host, Cyril Wohrer (aka Chandra), is from Los Angeles. Based in Mayapur, India, he holds a Masters in the Study of Religion from Oxford University and is an ordained (brahmana) priest since 1997. He has been practicing and teaching the science of Bhakti-yoga for three decades. Let's deepen our faith together on the scientific path of devotion while living in today's world.

We look at five Bible verses, as well as a famous verse from the Srimad Bhagavatam, about the power of the Holy Name. We hear Rupa Goswami (16th century) telling us to keep on chanting, and we relish a passage from Kirk Franklin's song "Something about the Name Jesus."
