  • Un rapporto d’amore quando va a male, si dice diventa acido, perché corrode l’autostima e i legami d’amore. Ciò è ricorrente in quella che viene conosciuta come sindrome dell’abbandono. Questo accade nella sfera affettiva. Adesso invece occupiamoci del mondo fisico, e di quando l'acido viene a contatto con la pelle umana, la erodere rapidamente e attacca lo strato di grasso immediatamente sottostante fino a raggiungere l'osso. Devastanti sono gli effetti dell’acido sul volto, infatti le labbra e le palpebre possono essere completamente distrutte e il naso e le orecchie gravemente danneggiati. Questo tipo di aggressione con acido è conosciuta anche come "vitriolage". Chi commette questo crimine ha come obiettivo l'intento di sfigurare, mutilare, torturare o uccidere la vittima. In caso di aggressione con acido, con conseguenti lesioni personali gravissime, la legge penale italiana punisce l'aggressore con la reclusione da sei a dodici anni, art. 584 c.p.
