AAF D10 Webinar - Pushing Back on Ad Legislation

The AAF D10 Webinar discussed strategies to oppose ad tax legislation, using Nebraska's experience as a case study. Robert Richardson and Cassi Warren detailed how they formed a coalition with the Nebraska Broadcasters and Press Associations, ANA, and the National Federation of Independent Businesses to oppose a 7.5% ad tax. They emphasized the importance of early preparation, building relationships with legislators, and leveraging national resources. Despite initial success, a reduced 5.5% tax on digital advertising was still imposed on large companies. The speakers advised staying informed, building local networks, and using personalized communication to influence legislative decisions.

On July 31st, D10 hosted a live Zoom event featuring the latest class of Mosaic Award winners. For those who couldn't be there, we've packaged a replay of the incredible conversation on DE&I. This is also very impactful and very sharable. Let's keep this moving.

As we welcome A. B. Barrera, the new Governor of D10, we get an up close snapshot of the incredible things in store for our clubs in 2024-2025. D10 has a history of doing things in a big way. From a September Summit on South Padre Island to a Presidents Mid-Year Retreat in January, get inspired by his agenda to grow this "Super-District" even bigger.

What happens when you illuminate the power of D-10? You get results. We look back at the legacy of a year under the direction of Governor Laurel McEuen. She says leadership is a journey of the heart, and the people that make up D-10 will always be in mine. Let's look back at another strong year in D-10.
