Have some fun on the Rowing Machine from the creator of the RowAlong workouts podcast.


Whether it's blasting through space, rowing faster to avoid pirates, or on the Amazon river, escaping pihranas and crocodiles - I'll tell you a story, and let you know when to row faster, slower, or adjust your stroke rate.


Perfect for keeping you entertained on the rowing machine for short workouts. Giving you the exercise you were looking for, but distracting you with tales of adventure!


For anyone - from 8 to 88. We'll go through a 4 minute warmup to make sure you're moving correctly, then a 10-30 minute row, depending on the story.


Although there's less of a focus on technique and performance improvements compared to my other RowAlong podcast, it's important that you still try to think about how you're rowing. You want to make sure you don't tweak anything with poor technique - but also, you want to make sure you're getting the best workout possible!


I always do a brief 'best practise' recap for technique in these podcasts - but if you're unsure, do check out some of my RowAlong videos on YouTube.

  • Travel through the Forest with a few surprises

    Climb onto your rowing machine and join me as we walk through the forest, and possibly get into a few bits of trouble...


    Over the course of a 20 minutes workout, I tell a story of a walk through a forest, and as we need to escape various things, we need to row faster or slower.


    There's a 4 minute easy start followed by short pace change intervals.


    Based around the following intensities:


    Easy - about 5/10 effort at a lowish stroke rate

    Hard - about 7/10 effort at a slightly higher stroke rate

    Sprint -10/10 max effort and high stroke rate

    Power - Put max effort into a low stroke rate.


    If you want to row a more serious and focussed workout, take a look at the main RowAlong workouts on this channel. But for a way to pass 20 minutes on the rowing machine with a mix of intensities, this should be a good workout for you.
