4. Code #2: A King Always And Only Ever Is Exactly Where He Is

  • Summary

  • 4. Rule 2: A King always and only ever is exactly where he is.
cam1 - Welcome to the 4th episode of this podcast! In this episode, we cover the topic of presence, and break it down into a few relevant subcategories.
cam2 - If this is the first time you are listening or watching, I will advise that the best place to start listening would be episode 1, as this podcast is constructed sequentially, and will make much more sense to you if you have the proper introductory experience. With that said, let us begin!
cam1 - A King always and only ever is exactly where He is.
Section 1: “This is a pseudo-cryptic way of reminding myself to be present in this moment. It is said that dwelling on the past is what depression is, and dwelling on the future is what anxiety is. It is true, to reminisce and to plan, we must VISIT the past or the future, but we all know the difference between a visit and taking residency."
Section 2: I had an antagonistic thought after channeling this wisdom. “But this rule has absolutes! How can a person be ‘always and only ever’ in the current moment without neglecting their future? Thinking of the future is what planning is! I can't just neglect that if I'm going to function in society!”
cam2 - I hear that overthinking analytical brain's gears and gyros a-clickin' and a-whirrin'. Think of it this way. The King is my highest self. The perfect vision of all who I desire to be. We can touch perfection time and time again, which is what we do when we behave in alignment with the King. Every disciplined behavior is another touch.
cam1 - Section 3: With every response, instead of reaction, we connect to our ideal selves. I can admit that I’m not ALWAYS in King mode. I am the King’s servant who handles the back end of things, and the King shows up on the front end when he is needed. It is "I" who plans my day and the King who plays it out if I am attuned to His vibe. When we live in the moment, we are touching perfection and embodying the King in His ever-present glory.
cam2 - Now from that rather short statement, I identify 3 points I wanted to extract and expand into, plus an added one that came to me with a recent realization.
cam1 - Rule 2 expanded: So first, living in the moment - (Eckhart and Ram Dass Teachings)
“This is a pseudo-cryptic way of reminding myself to be present in this moment. It is said that dwelling on the past is what depression is, and dwelling on the future is what anxiety is."
The present moment is truly the only time that matters. Animals and children both have a lock on being present and in their Beingness because they have no identity other than their presence. How we shape our presence dictates how our personal magic is leveraged.
cam2 - We can shape our presence by spreading our attention broadly to receive all that is, or we can shape our presence like a sword.
cam1 - Shaping our presence broadly by observing nothing specific and opening our senses to everything around is helpful for recouperating, resting, and repairing. It's the "cozy up with a cup of coffee or hot chocolate" kind of vibe. It's that wistful aura when someone looks far off into the distance, as if recalling a fond memory from lifetimes ago.
