  • 今週、坂の上に訪ねてきてくださったのは、内子町役場町並・地域振興課学芸員の小野翠さん。内子町出身で大正から昭和にかけて活躍した実業家・高畑誠一について、お話を伺いました。正直、愛媛県民にもそれほど知名度は高くないのですが、じつは商社「日商」を立ち上げ国を代表する総合商社に育て上げた上、戦後の高度経済成長を牽引した人物でもあるのです！そんな偉業を多くの人に知ってほしいと、内子町ではこのほど高畑誠一の歩みを紹介する漫画を制作、町内の中学生に送りました。そのタイトルは「皇帝と恐れられた商社マン　高畑誠一物語～内子から世界へ～」。彼の功績を「木蝋がつなだ世界」「カイゼル・皇帝と呼ばれた所以」「ゴルフのヘッドカバー」というキーワードで紐解きます。
