About this listen

On a busy Washington morning, the stately calm of the White House is shattered in a deadly terrorist attack on the executive mansion. The president is evacuated to an underground bunker, but not before nearly 100 hostages are taken.

Mitch Rapp, the CIA’s top counterterrorism operative, is sent in to take control of the crisis and determines that the president is not as safe as Washington’s power elite had thought. Indeed, Rapp has made a chilling discovery that could rock Washington to its core: someone within his own government wants his rescue attempt to fail.

Critic Reviews

"Endless intrigue... Flynn mixes in a spicy broth of brutal terrorists, heroic commandos, and enough secret-agent hijinks to keep the confrontation bubbling until its flag-raising end." ( Publishers Weekly)
" Transfer of Power emerges in its sense of authenticity, depth of research, and almost seamless dramatic scenario....One of Flynn's finest skills as an up-and-coming young master of the genre of political thrillers is his ability to create a cast of compelling characters." ( Bookpage)

I love Rapp and I don't mind the predictability of the books. Easy and enjoyable to listen to.

Predictable BUT GREAT ❤️

A great book with the continuation of a thrilling story only limited by the brevity of the novel. The book seemed more like a long chapter

Quick

I enjoyed some of the writing and story line but was extremely disappointed with the character development.
I won't be coming back to this series.
It's trying to be a political thriller / action adventure story but the characters are not believable. They continually make poor judgement calls that are not consistent with their role. High school students would make better decisions.

Disappointed

I do alot of driving so I like a long story. Compared to the first one there were long gaps between the action.

Long winded and not enough action

Stopped after this one when I saw same narrator for next book. Made this one sound like some corny 50's novel. might start listening to audio books again when they can afford to have a male and female narrator

Storyline potential, the rest uggh
