After some 120 audio books this has to be the worst narration. Complete inability to add value to the listener rather than reading the book - the emotion or suspense of any scene was lost in his two tone style. Also his atypical pronunciation of certain words left me focussing on the absurdity of the narration rather than the story. It was sooooo bad I almost gave up - only the fact that it was another great Mitch Rapp kept me going to the end.

Worst narration ever

The narrator was awful, his grasp of some of the word in the English language was dismal.

Enjoyed another Mitch Rapp saga

I usually take reviews with a pinch of salt as everyone has a different opinion. But I am in concurrence with every review, the worst story telling ever. Did they use a voice over? Missed pronunciations, high pitched voice. Terrible.

Great story, Terrible Narrator

I have never fast forwarded an audible book so much. Drags on with continued conversation when questioning (for answers) and it's never ending.

Worst one so far.

Loved the continuing adventures of Rapp but am majorly put off by his so called girlfriend. I found her extremely grating and just a tad bullying disguised as determination.
The storyline was exciting and had lots of on the edge moments.
Will definitely be reading the next one in hopes the girlfriend is no longer an item

Rapp does it again!

Enjoyed the book, but found that the story was butchered by the narrators whiney 1950s style.

Good book, poor performance.

A great yarn. Shame the narrator changed. Was funny listening to the initial characters changing names. Rutten (pronounced like that and changed to Ruden) and other different pronunciations. Not being able to get the following book series on Audible was/is annoying. Had to move straight onto this one.

The new breed

An interesting storyline, with good intrigue. Good balance of storyline to keep both sides of the story moving along. Some of the dialogue is unrealistic but ok. The narrator is terrible and spoils the dialogue. Was hard to get through to the end because the reading was so robotic.

Interesting story, but read by C3P0

Alas! This perfectly good Mitch Rapp story is seriously marred by the terrible narration. Mitch - and all the other characters - sound both angry and whining pretty much all the time. If this book hadn’t been the sequel to book 4, I would have skipped it.

Good story, awful narrator

The narrator leaves a lot to be desired. His pronunciation of many words is terrible. Not just the American versions of words but his English and intonation are poor.
The storyline is good but the author bores the reader with his over long and amateurish interactions between Mitch and Anna.
Apart from that it is a good read.

Not his best
