Gloomy

It was well acted, but hadn't a single happy ending among the lot. The sound performance made it feel real, which is the only positive (if it can be called that.) Not for a listener looking for something lighthearted.

Blurk

Just so piddling mediocre it defies description. Fails on so many levels. It’s a shame because the concept is great. The execution really wasn’t up to it.

An Intriguing Idea

This is something just a little bit different. The idea being you immerse yourself in the experience of a scene rather than just listening to it. For some of these that worked quite well for me though the three part series, The Terminal, was slightly different in that you were just an observer of the events that unfolded.

To get the most out of these very brief experiences I think you really do need to put on your headphones, shut your eyes and try to just let the sound take over completely. It's pointless if it doesn't have your undivided attention.

It's very much in the thriller genre with "Overnight" bringing a touch of horror to the mix. I found the last one "bully" to be the most effective but they all kept me interested for the short time that they ran. It's an interesting idea that's at least worth a try,

Amazing!!! Feels like you're in a movie!

WOW! Never heard anything like this before. It's like being in a movie! Love that you're the main character and things happen around you in 3D. The sound quality is incredible. Sometimes I had to open my eyes to convince myself that the sound wasn't really there! My favorites are Infiltrator (spy mission) and Overnight (haunted house). Would love to hear some longer stories like this. FYI you have to wear headphones otherwise you lose the 3D, and in my opinion this is best experienced in a quiet space with eyes closed. Also the sample doesn't sound 3D but the stories definitely are once you download them. Fully recommended!

Not the FULL story. Disappointing.

I enjoyed this up until it was clear I would have to pay if I wanted the full story. Each chapter is really just an advert for a paid for book which isn't on Audible either. The storytelling is great, as is the whole 360 sound immersion, just a shame I can't just buy these books on Audible in the first place.

I wish it lasted longer!

I hope more audio story experiences like this are made. I was well into the one with the agent getting into the house! 👍

This is a great idea.

This will need a little more work to get the best out of the approach.

Kinda new concept!

I'm enjoying the background tracks so far. In the Infiltrator (EP. 2), the ending credits mentioned Sherlock Holmes, I guess. Does anyone know how this is related to Sherlock Holmes?

Loved it!

A highly entertaining book with well thought out stories with a surprise in each. Dangerous.

Disappointing

Stories too short and the whole 3D gimmick is a bit lame. Also the actors have really odd accents, kind of nasal and whiny. At least it was free!

Don’t waste your time

These stories were poor to start with so the music and sound effects had nothing to enhance - don’t waste your time

Can't hear the story!

This seems like a good idea but the sound balance is wrong - it plays a sample of the highest sound before the story starts but the volume of the actual story dialogue compared to this is so low it can't be heard (even with earphone volume turned up to maximum so the loudest sounds were too loud). And this was without any background noise so listening on the tube/plane/car/anywhere with noise would be impossible.
