Horrible narration

Jimmy Moore has his own podcast?! I'm really glad I got the summary instead of the full book in audio form. I had a hard time concentrating because of the quality of the narration, which was robotic and stilted. I read The Obesity Code by Dr. Fung and didn't want to read or listen to testimonials, so I went with this. This distillation of fasting was useful information that I will be able to put into practice. I just won't be purchasing any more books narrated by Jimmy Moore.

Just what I needed

This is a 30/min summary of Dr Fung’s book. I read that, but, like many people, did not have full recall, and had many questions as I started to add IF to my lifestyle. I had been hesitant to read the whole book again. How great it was to find this summary! I’m fasting regularly now, successfully, knowing the little things I had forgotten, with renewed confidence. Thank you for providing this wonderful summary.

Very good summary of the subject matter...

I wanted information about fasting as I had seen an interview with Dr. Fung...this was a quick way to highlight his views as I have not time to read a long and complete dissertation.

I will now buy the complete book when I have time to read it.

I enjoyed the narrator's reading and got everything I needed. I would recommend this Summary...well worth more than I paid for it.

Don't eat=lose weight. Not revolutionary.

I loved the summary, it gave me the main points without having to wade through hours of anecdotes. There is nothing revolutionary here though. Don't eat for a prolonged time and you will lose weight. According to this book it can cure diabetes and cancer. 99% of people that get into medical school in the US/Canada get an MD/DO. Just because an MD says something doesn't make it true. Yes, research supports his claims, but research also refutes it. He has some funny logic. Not eating starves cancer? Um kind of. I guess. Starving yourself and fasting are not the same thing? I still don't understand the difference. Both involve prolonged time periods with zero calorie intake. Best diet across the board has been shown time and time again to be the Mediterranean Diet/DASH diet. Probably what your doctor will tell you too. If you've tried that and it didn't work, maybe this will. Does fasting help you lose weight? Absolutely. Will you be able to regularly have nothing but water for 10 days at a time? Probably not.

Go into pure keto (very hard to do) and just eat saturated fat. You will also lose weight. You will also clog your arteries and die. Talk to fitness people that look good and are in good shape. They will say that they eat healthy and workout. I still don't see how this doctor can say that's all lies and you need to just starve yourself or eat saturated fat. That's certainly not what I learned in medical school.
