Stephen Fry travels into the most remarkable place we know - our brain. The organ of knowledge and the one we know least about. Over 12 episodes Stephen explores just how much we’ve learned about this mysterious structure in recent years and tries to answer some of the most difficult questions that remain. To do this, we relay the discoveries and stories of neuroscientists, psychologists, anthropologists and even philosophers, to add illumination and perspective as we travel. Each episode will be full of brainy stories: some shocking, some thrilling, some scarcely believable.Â

Story
Perhaps thanks to TV period dramas, the popular imagination may picture the Edwardian era as an idyllic window between the wars, a time of manners and tea on the lawn. But below the surface lies a frenetic and often bizarre age where scientific leaps forward went hand in hand with belief in fairies, and secrets of sex, lies and murder simmered. Across 12 episodes, in this sequel to his Victorian Secrets, Stephen Fry uncovers some of the startling and unexpected hidden histories of the Edwardians.

These sessions are the powerful motivation grounded in scientific research that Mel is known for packaged in a 30 min format. These sessions are great for first thing in the morning or throughout the day for an energy reset. The content focuses on areas of life that often present challenges (Friendships, Careers, etc.). The hardest part is getting started
Mel says at the beginning of this, the reason she made this series is because the hardest part is getting started. I know that to be true and I'm so glad she made this. I'm a big Mel Robbins fan, I love how she gives actually real advice that you can do, no fluff, so when I saw her post about this I downloaded it right away. I love the short format. It makes it easy to listen to whichever episodes resonate with you, they really could go in any order. I like that because I know I'll go back to some. There's a big variety of topics, and honestly some didn't resonate as much with me, I don't have any issues with emotional eating or sleeping, but I like that Mel did so many topics because that seems like the point, they can help everyone. I bet others will find the one on emotional eating really helpful. My favorite topics so far are happiness and career. I love how the advice is so simple but things I can actually do. Frankly I've been in a bit of a rut lately and this is exactly what I needed. I wish I could have Mel coach me, but this is the next best thing, because the advice feels like it's exactly what I need to hear. It's all stuff we can do easily from home. I'm still working through the episodes so I can't wait for what's in the upcoming ones (and I hope Mel releases more of these). I know I will be recommending this to people in my life. I like that it's included on Audible and not a credit. Also, I've listened to all of mel's other books, if you also have - this content is all totally different which I appreciate. Thanks again Mel for always putting out the best stuff!
