Amy & Tony

I listened to the audiobook after reading the book and always feel I get so much more out of the story. Second chance romance and facing a painful shared past by bringing it out in the open. That's what this summer brings to the Cape for Tony Black and Amy Maples. Former secret lovers fourteen years ago, they shared their love and then shared a tragedy. Amy unable to deal with it, pushed Tony away and went their separate ways. Tony went on to become the world class surfer he'd always dreamed of being and a motivational speaker, returning to Seaside each summer to see the only woman he truly loves, but only as her friend and protector. Amy went on to build herself a successful business, always trying to do the right thing, trying to please her father and trying to get Tony to notice her as a woman and not just his friend. With their Seaside friends, all of whom have found love, they spend the summer in Wellfleet, Massachusetts once again. Faced with an amazing business opportunity, Amy gives it one last shot with Tony. If they can't find their way this summer she's going to take the job in Australia. Tony would like nothing better than to build a future with Amy, but how can they without dealing with the past once and for all and putting it to rest? Tony is such a great guy. His love is so deep. Forever sweet Amy was lucky to have her girlfriends to give her the strength and support she needed. The road back to each other was not an easy one, fraught with mistakes and fear. Can Tony risk Amy throwing him away again? Does Amy have the courage to deal with their tragedy? They both had family issues to deal with and realizations that only come with being an adult. B. J. Harrison does a great job narrating and has the kind of voice that is mesmerizing at times and yet manages to pull the emotions of the characters throughout the story. Melissa Foster manages to make you cheer this couple along although at times I did want to swat Amy upside the head. Facing your past with all its’ secrets and ghosts is never easy, but as Amy and Tony find out - it’s the only way to truly move forward. Five stars!

Sweet and passionate!

There is nothing better than escape to Cape Cod. Melissa Foster takes us there once again with Seaside Secrets. Amy is so conscientious and loyal, her life has become consistent and a little boring. She let the love of her life go years ago, and now with an opportunity to take a job in Australia has come up and she has to make a decision. The biggest problem is that love is back for the summer. Tony Black is a surfer, and he and Amy were hot an heavy. But circumstances split them apart, and they have kept their secret. Their friendship has grown, but now with Amy on the verge of a new adventure, will Tony be able to let her go? This is sweet and passionate, and I loved every minute of their story. I love both of these characters. Amy is confident in her ability, but a little insecure when it comes to men. Her heart was given away, and she can't get it back! Tony is more worldly, but when it comes to romance, this man has all the moves. He is swoony! And not only is their story a great listen, but the camaraderie of all the women and men from previous stories makes this series a fantastic ensemble piece. It really gives us a feeling of friends, family and community. Another wonderful listen! BJ Harrison continues his narration of this series. He easily melds into his voices, keeping them all consistent throughout the books. I enjoy his story telling and look forward to more.

Lots of emotions.

This book just tugged at my heart strings. Amy has been in love with Tony forever. Tony has never stopped loving Amy. Years ago, one night changed everything for them and Amy tries to forget the night that changed their lives forever. She keeps what happened that night a secret from everyone including her besties in seaside. She wants to move from the past but wants to have Tony in her life. Tony wants to be in Amy's life but neither know that the other wants them. They both feel like they are just friends. Tony and Amy finally come together and deal with what happened when they were so young. By dealing with the past, they are able to come together and fall back in love and move forward. I was so happy to see Tony and Amy get their happily ever after just like the rest of the seaside crew. This book along with the rest of the Seaside books are a must read and listen to. I love the narrator as he does the other Seaside books. You will feel like you are right there at the beach with everyone.

Soft spot for Tony and Amy - Loved it!

Seaside Secrets was revealing. It can truly be read or listened to as a stand-alone but if you have followed the Seaside sisters it showed so much depth into the relationship between long time friends Tony and Amy. Throughout the previous books we have learned that Amy Maples has a “thing” for professional surfer Tony Black. Over the years Tony has protected her and taken care of her but not fallen for her. But this beautiful story sheds light on a friendship that has survived challenges. Amy has been offered a job in Australia and she needs to know if she and Tony can move beyond friendship before she accepts the position. In the process Tony and Amy examine their past. Melissa Foster weaves a tale of a young love filled with a few unexpected twists and turns as only she can. Come along on this beautiful journey. Listening to B. J. Harrison’s smooth voice narrate brought both tears and laughter. This book is both expertly written and narrated.

Kept me hooked...

Seaside Secrets is book four in the Love in Bloom: Seaside Summers series. A group of friends meet at their Cape Cod cottages. They both want to reconnect, but Tony and Amy share a past that just might be too much to overcome. I really enjoyed this story and narrator. This author never fails to keep me reading (or listening) longer than intended. I definitely recommend this book.

Emotional Rollercoaster

OMG!!! SO GREAT, AGAIN Melissa!!!! This is an emotional rollercoaster and, as I am with most of Melissa's books, I seriously had a problem putting it down! The chemistry and relationship we've seen with Tony and Amy throughout the series comes to a head throughout the telling of their 'story'. Also, the ending was a GREAT way to tie-in all the Seaside Gang's relationships! But Wait...let's add in BJ Harrison bringing that story to life...giving voice to those emotions so well, you feel everything each character is feeling. The loss Amy felt, the pain Tony felt...you understand it so much more!! Another EXCELLENT work Melissa!!!

Sexy

I loved listening to the audiobook of Seaside Secrets. B. J. Harrison waa the narrator and as always does an excellent job of narrating. In this story we get to meet Tony Black who is a professional surfer and Amy Maples who owns her own business. Tony and Amy got together one summer and then it ended. Tony and Amy are meant to be together and they just need to find their way back to each other. They both know what the want, they just have ro go after it. A chance meeting at a wedding 14 years after their one summer. You can just feel the heat radiating off of them. Can they give their love a second chance....only time will tell. Great story by Melissa Foster.

Deep secrets

I have been waiting for Amy and Tony for a long time! As I’ve read the stories of the other members of the Seaside gang, I’ve been waiting for Amy and Tony to have their moment. I’ve seen their connection but before reading this book, I did not realize how far back that connection went. They have a past, that isn’t really introduced prior to this book. It’s deep, and it isn’t easy. Amy and Tony need to be together, they want to be together, but can they get over their past? I enjoyed listening to this story by Melissa. It was sweet and sexy, but it was also raw and emotional as we read through the ups and downs that Amy and Tony had to work through. I highly recommend this read, especially if you’re already a fan of Melissa or the Seaside girls!

Secrets Revealed!

Seaside Secrets by Melissa Foster is absolutely fantastic. I loved the story of Amy and Tony, and how the author revealed their secret. This listen is very emotional, and I found myself both laughing and crying. The way the author dealt with tough subjects was both sensitive and realistic. B.J. Harrison performed this book so well, with his distinguishable voices and realistic expressions. I loved this seaside story, and will definitely listen to more by this talented author and narrator.

My favourite book of the series.

Seaside Secrets is a great story and I loved it. Amy and Tony have been my favorite characters since I started the Seaside Summers series and I have been really looking forward to them getting their HEA. This book was beautifully written and filled with emotions and I loved the journey Melissa Foster decided to take their romance.

I have listened to the audiobook of Seaside Secrets and it is another great performance B.J Harrison, he brings so much emotion to the story and each character has a unique voice.

oh my.My favourite book in the series.

What made the experience of listening to Seaside Secrets the most enjoyable?

This had me in tears. Amy has always had a thing for Tony, on the surface they are very good friends, Always keeping in touch, as you get into the story you learn of the secret that has kept them at arms length, she didn't even tell her best friends. This had me crying. This is my favourite book in the series.

Have you listened to any of B.J. Harrison’s other performances? How does this one compare?

I have listened to 4 books now and you forget that a man is narrating. Keeps getting better

If you made a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

The love that waits

Any additional comments?

Another good book from Melissa
