Publisher's Summary

Sky Lacroux has finally realized her dream and opened her own tattoo shop in Provincetown, Massachusetts. She's as happy as can be, preparing the shop for its grand opening and renting a cottage in the seaside community while renovations to her new apartment are being completed. The only thing missing is the one thing she longs for and has no control over - love.

Sawyer Bass, a professional boxer, plays his guitar at a local bar to escape the painful reality of his father's deteriorating health and a recent health warning of his own. But when he spots a stunning brunette across the room, escaping reality goes out the window, and the beautiful woman becomes the focus of his next song - and maybe even the rest of his life.

When Sawyer walks into Sky's tattoo shop and sees the woman from the bar - Sky - the chemistry between them is instant. Sawyer is everything Sky could ever hope for in a man. He's honest, loving, sensitive, and potently virile - but boxing goes against everything Sky believes in. The closer they become, the more she realizes that her alpha boxer is waging his own emotional battle - only the battle she thinks he's waging isn't the one that threatens to tear them apart.

Perfect emotional match!

Sky and Sawyer = all the feels! The latest dose of Melissa’s Seaside stories does not disappoint. I’ve gotten to know Sky through the earlier Seaside books and was looking forward to her story! Sawyer seems to be a perfect match for Sky in pretty much every way except for one…he’s a boxer. Sky has a hard time wrapping her head around someone fighting as a career, especially, sweet, sensitive Sawyer. Sawyer just wants to do right by his parents and help get his ailing father the help that he needs.

I thoroughly enjoyed listening to Sky and Sawyer’s story. It is also gave me another change to catch up with the rest of the Seaside gang

My Thoughts on Seaside Nights

This is the fifth book in this series and I loved seeing all these characters again and seeing how far they've all come since the first book. It was a nice continuation. Even if it didn't have any of the characters from the first book as the leading characters, it still felt like it fit in. Plus, the rest of the Seaside Summer crew was all there too.

Sky and Sawyer were easily likable characters. The cool tattoo artist and the boxer. What's not to like? Both of them were family oriented and very kind. Plus they had this great chemistry that just draws you in. Sawyers job added a very different element to story from anything I've read from Melissa Foster before. It was really enjoyable to read how they worked through it. Not only was this a good story, but it had the same awesome narrator from the previous books. BJ Harrison's voice is just so soothing and allows you to just sink into the story.

I'm looking forward to seeing where this series and these characters go next. And also to meeting new people to fall in love with.

Sky and Sawyer!

Seaside Nights by Melissa Foster is full of so many emotions from hope, love, loss, pregnancy and health issues to laugh out loud moments. I loved the pranks of the girls in this book! Skinny dipping, sex toys, tattoos, boxing all add to the imagery in this story. I love how the girls have such deep friendships and are there for each other. BJ Harrison does a wonderful job bringing the characters to life with his performance. He adds the right emotions to his voice. The poetry in this book was so heartfelt, and I loved how it was incorporated in the story.

Love Sky & Sawyer!

Sky Lacroux and Sawyer Bass are one of my favorite couples. Sky has a soulful spirit, loves poetry, art and owns her own tattoo shop. She loves hanging out with her family and friends and is happy that they each have found their forever love, but she is wishful that someday she’ll find hers.

Sawyer is a singer, songwriter, poet and above all else a boxer. When Sawyer performs one night at a bar that Sky and her friends are at, Sky is mesmerized by his soulful voice and lyrics of the song. When he scans the crowd while up on stage, he makes brief eye contact with Sky. When he returns to the bar, their eyes meet again. Inspiration hits and he starts to write lyrics down on napkins as they pop into his mind. Sky cannot stop thinking about Sawyer and as fate would have it, he walks into her shop for a new tattoo. She is completely tongue-tied. As Sawyer removes his shirt, Sky is amazed not only by how sexy he is but also the lyrics tattooed on his back. When Sawyer notices his father’s poetry book on the counter, he tells Sky he knows the place that inspired one of the poems and asks her if she’d like to go there; of course, she accepts.

As their relationship builds, they realize their souls are a match to one another but Sky struggles with the fact that Sawyer is a boxer. When he tells her the reasoning for this one last fight, she tries to be supportive until a cheap shot at a sparring match reveals Sawyer’s secret. Will his need for his father’s long-term care and her need to keep him safe tear them apart or will the universe step in and bring these kindred spirits back together?

BJ Harrison did a great job narrating Sky and Sawyer’s story.

Hope, Redemption and Love!

Melissa has written a super story of hope and love for family. B. J. Harrison narrates it and he had done the characters to perfection.
Sky Lacroux opens her own tattoo shop and she calls it Inky Sky. She has an apartment above it and she is having it updated. She was a free spirit and had moved there to help in her fathers store while he recovered from being an alcoholic. Sawyer Bass, a professional boxer, was playing his guitar in a bar when he sees Sky and his heart starts racing. The next day he goes into her shop and sparks fly between them. When she finds out he is a boxer, she can't stand the thought of anyone using their fists on another person. They both have emotional battles to fight. Can they be worked out? A must listen!

What a great story

What another great story from Melissa Foster. It amazes me how she is able to bring all these characters to life. Sky and Sawyer are souls mates, they are halves of a whole, they fit together so well. Both of them have overcome obstacles in their lives that has left them cautious. Sky doesn’t like Sawyer’s profession but she realizes that doesn’t define who he is as a person. Seaside Nights is a wonderful story. B. J. Harrison brings Melissa Fosters characters to life. He is such a joy to listen to.

LOVE IT

The first time Sky sees Sawyer is at bar while he is on stage performing. The next time Sky comes to see Sawyer is when he comes into her tattoo studio. Sky instantly falls for him. When she comes to find out he is a boxer she is torn. The narration of BJ Harrison is incredible. I love audio books, I listen on my way to and from work.

Foster gives readers great, unexpected characters!

Without a doubt, I am hooked on this series. After so many in the series, I don't know how Melissa Foster keeps coming up with characters that are fresh and interesting and then gives them their own unique love story. It really blows my mind that these books aren't just carbon copies of the previous ones!
Sky and Sawyer are probably the most unique characters yet. Sky own her own tattoo parlor and Sawyer is a boxer who also just happens to write poetry/songs and sing his songs with his guitar. Their romance had a gentleness about it that I wasn't expecting from those characters. I think that's what made this book such a pleasure. Sawyer had such a wonderful soft side to him!
As usual, it was good to have the continued story of the characters highlighted in previous books. The Seaside crew is getting ready to add babies to the mix! Squeal!

Sawyer and Sky

Sky is a tattoo artist. She’s just bought her own shop and loves the diversity of Provincetown. Sawyer is a boxer. He also writes songs and plays guitar. Imagine Sky’s surprise when Sawyer comes into her shop soon after she saw him playing guitar at a club. Sky and Sawyer share many interests, but there’s one big problem. Sawyer’s profession goes against everything Sky believes in. Can love bloom when there’s such a big obstacle in the way? Sawyer needs the money from one last fight to cover his dad’s medical bills, but his doctor says he shouldn’t fight anymore. Too many concussions. Will Sawyer fight? Will Sky accept Sawyer’s choice? Will chemistry be enough to overcome obstacles? Is it love, or not?

Melissa Foster sets the scene and creates a good story, and B.J. Harrison does a fantastic job with all of the voices for the characters (and there are many!). It was nice catching glimpses of the seaside girls and their guys, and it was nice getting to know Sawyer and Sky. This audiobook is so descriptive that I could visualize every scene, and B.J. Harrison put the voices into my head.

Another fantastic romance!

Seaside Nights is another fantastic, heart warming romance from Melissa Foster. It had more of a laid back feel than the previous books in the series, but this was a reflection of Sky's personality and suited the story. Sky and Sawyer made such a great couple and I loved the connection between them. Seaside Nights was well written, with the perfect amount of sweetness, sexiness and angst. I read the book first, but I had to have the audiobook too! B.J Harrison is an amazing narrator and he captured the characters and the story perfectly - it was as if I was right there with Sky and Sawyer!
