About this listen

Book seven in the Gaunt's Ghosts series.

Saint Sabbat has returned, and she is being hunted by the deadliest of assassins. Gaunt's Ghosts must fight to protect her - but can they defend against treachery from within?

Listen to it because...it's the culmination of a massive story arc that sees tragedy strike even as the Sabbat Worlds Crusade is given new hope with the reappearance of the Saint herself. Mysticism and warfare collide, with compelling results.

The story: with the future of the Sabbat Worlds campaign balanced on a knife edge, new hope arises in the form of Saint Sabbat herself, reincarnated to lead the Imperium to victory against the dark forces of Chaos. The living saint calls for Colonel-Commissar Gaunt and the Tanith First to be her guardians. Doubting that she is who she claims, Gaunt must discover the truth while fending off enemy troops and lethal assassins. But treachery within the Ghosts will not only threaten the mission, but rip the Tanith asunder.

Written by Dan Abnett, narrated by Toby Longworth.

This was an excellent addition to the ghosts saga, slightly different feel to some of the more adventurous books of the past as this widens the scope of the sabbat Crusade. the ship battles were a fun inclusion. Toby Longworth was excellent as always
