Publisher's Summary

Hell hath no fury like Callie Penrose....

Ever since Callie - the Vatican's rookie monster hunter - killed a demon a few weeks ago, Kansas City's been eerily quiet. But she soon learns it's just the calm before the storm.

Because werewolves begin abducting young women in Kansas City, and a new church opens its doors, pronouncing death to all idols, including these "make-believe" monsters and wizards.

But when one of their congregation is disemboweled by a monster on the steps of the church with the phrase God is dead painted in blood, someone in the church decides to take a lesson from the Salem Witch Trials.... And the police seem to be helping.

Callie must catch the killer before Kansas City erupts in civil war. A civil war she inadvertently started. Before everyone decides to kill each other. Or worse yet, her.

But she's being stalked. By something unseen. More than one something... And with so many new faces coming to Missouri - gods, legends, and nightmares - Callie begins to realize it's all someone's sick idea of a game. And that Hell never really left Kansas City. Or Callie Penrose.

After all, they say Missouri loves company....

Great Series

I have really enjoyed this book series so far and expect to thoroughly enjoy the following books. They have an interesting, unique and funny story with just the right amount of sexiness to boot. I highly recommended them 😊 also the narrator is great as well.

Awesome story!

Honestly I picked up this series because my audible credits were maxed. After listening to the first 2 books I absolutely fell in love with the story! Now I'm torn between continuing the series or picking up the Temple chronicles first so I can catch up to what is completely happening. It looks like I need to get up to book 5 of the Temple chronicles to be in line with what I'm listening too in the Feather and fire series. Again great story! You have a new follower now!:)

Feathers and fire book 2

I really enjoyed this book, it fits right in with the temple world. I am interested in seeing a new player just as strong as Nate. Callie fits right in and I am glad that she has the fore thought to see that she had to stand on her own feet instead of running to Nate. She will make a great part of team Temple.

Really enjoyed this book. Narrator still comes across tweenish, but the story is solid and enjoyable.

Excellent and Fun story; unskilled narrator

I recently got into the Nate Temple chronicles and was excited to learn more about the mysterious Callie Penrose. The story is great, definitely up to par with the Nate storyline. But Linnea Sage needs to learn better inflections and when and where to moderate her tones; also a lot of points could have done with an edit, she occasionally misspeaks or mispronounced things and it was just left in and not corrected, I understand this is a smaller independent recording production but that sort of thing tends to throw a listener out of the story which sucks.

Great book! Only one thing missing.

Book 2 was just as good as book 1, Just one thing missing Nate. I really liked Nate in the first book.

I wanted to be entertained, I was!

Magic and mayhem, humour and an engaging story. I found out about these books after reading the Nate Temple series. While in many ways it's more of the same (Not exactly a bad thing) the group of characters and the protagonist are just different enough to make them enjoyable in their own right. The name of the game is entertainment.
