the best I have heard

by far this is the best sales book I have come across. no matter what, spend the tiny amount of money to purchase this book and watch your skill set increase from today.

I work in sales both on the phone and face to face with a highly complex product and this book has given me skills to both areas. I would recommend this to anyone in sales as a must have.

Like listening to a long-winded sales pitch

Struggled through the beginning, couldn't make it to the end. Can tell it's written be a 'salesperson', felt like a sales spiel. First hour felt like him trying to sell me the book...mate I already bought the book!

maybe okay for beginners or people who have not read many books - I would like to get my money back

EXCELLENT place to start

Starts slow but then picks up momentum into a basic yet solid foundation with actionable steps.

If, like me, you have a product but no idea how to sell it ... start here. Copy the word for word scripts, adapt them to your situation, and get on the phones!

Find out what works well and then train a couple others using what you’ve learned so you can get to running your business!

If you are just starting in sales ... check this out and then pick up his other book ... he talks about how.

Then both “Fanatical Prospecting” and “Sales EQ” both by Jeb Blount

Build your sales book library one book at a time. Don’t buy another book until you get what you can get as much out of each one as you can.

Terrible book.

The author of this book gives you some gold suggestions like come prepared and listen to yourself to get better. Great points Mike and Stephen but this book is titled power phone scripts. The authors totally lost me when they suggested beginning your pitch requires rapport building through questions like "How is the weather?" How is the weather does not build rapport it is a disingenuous question that angers me to hear because it is a waste of everyone's time and makes a sales rep less likeable because is shows prospects that the rep really doesnt have anything worth talking about or you wouldn't waste time with meaningless questions. I will qualify my rant a little if you know the prospect likes to ski or you sell outdoor/sports equipment or a natural disaster is heading your prospects way asking about the weather doesn't help the rep build anything more than a do not call list.

I never got to a script because I hung up before the authors could give one. If you cant hook me on a book I paid money for in 3 chapters your scripts are weak not powerful. Dont waste your time with this book.

The Narrator was terrible

Sorry Stephen McLaughlin, you should not be narrating this type of book. It was hard to listen on my drive home because your voice isn't suited for a sales script book. You should be narrating adventure books or romance novels.

Hard to follow by audio

I will have to buy the book or listen to it again and make pauses to be able to learn Mike Brook’s lines. Not very suitable for audio version but the content is really helpful

Always something to learn.

Not the best book on sales. I did found few interesting tips that worth the money spend.
However, I haven’t finished to listen to it yet.

I am keeping the rest for when I’ll have nothing left to read!

Amazing book!!! Priceless information

This book has helped me tremendously!! I've listened to it at least five times already!! I've purchased many audiobooks over the last few months, and Mike's has been the best so far.

Going to 100% outside sales and running multiple door-to-door sales offices to 100% inside sales with having telemarketers working for me was a huge change. I could knock 100 doors without fear but had reluctance with the phone. This book gave me scripts, courage, insight, and so much more value. If you are in B2B inside sales, you need to get this audiobook. It is a game changer!!

Fantastic!

It's a rich book with a lot of amazeing script's that I've tried out and they works (but not every times, like he mention), but it would have been even better with accopening PDF file.
I'm an above average english speaking person from Norway, I can't write that good.

As a sales person he waffles on and on...

There is nothing innovative about this book. Everything being mentioned should be basic knowledge for any sales person. Repeats himself too many times it seems just to get the book to be seen longer... waste of time
