Publisher's Summary

A Gotrek and Felix Novel.

Gotrek and Felix delve into the dark places of the world once again, to help a dwarf prince reclaim his realm. But with greenskins around every corner, Gotrek's doom could be at hand...

Listen to it because...

A new era begins for Gotrek and Felix! A long time has passed and the world has changed, but their penchant for getting into trouble certainly hasn't...

The story:

Gotrek and Felix – unsung heroes of the Empire, or nothing more than common thieves and murderers? The truth perhaps lies somewhere in between, and depends entirely upon whom you ask...

After twenty years exploring other lands, Gotrek and Felix return to the Old World to find Chaos invaders rampaging through the lands of men, and the mountain holds of the dwarfs overrun by the foul orcs and goblins. Fulfilling an ancient oath, the pair travel deep beneath the world to help a dwarf prince reclaim his realm from the greenskins. But all is not as it seems, and Gotrek may finally meet his doom in the halls of his ancestors...

Back to its roots.

I haven't enjoyed one of these books this much since they very first one. It brings back all that excitement that got me hooked in the first place.

Jonathan Keeble delivers in spades.

Jonathan Keeble brings an incredible array of voices to the cast of these classic stories.
Nathan Long brings a new characterisation to the classic characters we’ve come to know and love, and delivers his own Gotrek and Felix story, feeling wholly different to those before it.

My favourite so far in this series

As the title states my favourite so far, I think I've listened to this book half a dozen times now and enjoy it every time. Jonathan Keebles narration is fantastic as always I hope the next books in the series are made into audio books soon I'll definitely be getting them

My Favorite Book of the Series (so far)

I estimate this to be one of the best entries of the series so far. The writing of Nathan is excellent, the story flows well, the dialouge is engaging, funny and witty. The relationships of the characters are deepened and explored to a greater depth than they have typically been before. Also, the story has a great sense of mystery and insurmountable challenge that keeps one engaged. Superb stuff!

What a great step change in the saga

I was a little nervous with the change in Author from King to Long.

I have to say, what a great addition. It is a step change but in my honest view in the right direction.

Looking forward to listening to Elfslayer and Manslayer when they’re released.

Great job, if you’ve listened to the other books I high recommend Orcslayer.

The best Gotrek and Felix I have listened to.

Nathan Long brings new levels of subtlety to the enduring friendship of a dwarf and his manling, in a story that is as thrilling as any G&F I have read.

Jonathan is my new favourite reader. He makes each dwarf memorable, and each fight feel edge of your seat!
