This story is about Miracle, a little black girl who has lost her parents, and the night she receives a visit from the Three Queens of Christmas.
The story goes, last Christmas, Miracle was given a pair of socks in a box. But the other girls at the boarding house where Miracle lived received lots of presents. Ms. McMeanie, the old meanie in charge of the boarding house, tells Miracle she did not receive presents because she wasn't special. This breaks Miracle's heart. She begins to believe being different from the other girls, somehow, makes her not special. Then! On Christmas Eve, little Miracle is visited by Three Queens of Christmas. Miracle learns why her hair, skin, and beauty is a gift from God. One by one, the Three Queens of Christmas teach Miracle why she is special.
