Good for insomnia and labour

I listened to this in my last trimester. I found it extremely soothing to listen to and the narrator's voice is perfect.
I found the hypno exercises really great for helping me fall back to sleep when I had 3rd trimester insomnia.
As for my birth, it all happened so quickly, I didn't get to listen to the tracks as planned. But I did try to remember the coping strategies as best as I could during labour. Who knows if giving birth was improved from this audio book or not; but overall I had a positive, fast, first time labour without any complications. So no complaints from mum and bub.

Good guide

I started this book at 35 weeks. Did the meditations and affirmations daily and listened through the book twice. I had a beautiful birth. It was not pain free but I had a different perspective on the pain (this is my fifth baby) and felt more in control.

Great Hypnobirthing Resource

I loved the positive affirmations presented in the book. I also loved the author's accent.

Great book but I wish the chapters have names.

It’s hard to go to a specific chapter when the chapters have not titles. Good book. Narrator has a nice soothing voice.

just OK

I could not make it through the entire book. I also like to listen to books in my car and this one specifically says don't listen to this whole week in a moving vehicle so it was not a for me.

Sophie Fletcher was so helpful

Sophie was so very helpful and answered my concerns right away. Great customer service and helped me to work around my lack of computer to get the extras right away. I’m so looking forward to using this wonderful information with my third baby and over into just managing more positive thinking. Thank you so much Sophie Fletcher, a very satisfied customer

Recommend for all

Very thorough. Provides relevant information for both first time hypnobirthers as well as those that have experienced birth with or without hypnobirthing. Nice review of physiologic phases of labor and delivery. Provides support for how to approach decisions related to complications that arise before or during labor. My only criticism is that the audio version does not label the chapters or tracks by name only by chapter number.

Just perfect for birth preparation

A book read by the author who has the most relaxing voice.

Genuine practical information and advice which suits my no nonsense attitude. Although I do struggle with affirmations.

The author will email you the audio downloads if you contact her through FB.

All around thoroughly recommended.

Can’t find tracks

Does anyone know how to find the 3 tracks she mentions here? It states that there’s 3 mp3s to listen to but I can’t find them anywhere easily??

Difficult to follow

I thought an audiobook would be best for this type of practice however in this format I'm finding it difficult to follow. There is no accompanying document to set out which chapter contain which exercises, and no introduction title to the additional material. I've not yet been able to find the tracks for the three main techniques that the author recommends are practiced three times a week! There are a lot of chapters but the content of these could be put more succinctly, after all the only way to 'achieve' mindfulness is by practice...which I can't do with the audiobook as I can't find the relevant tracks!

Too confusing to follow

The excersizes aren't in any sort of chapter format and there are too many to follow properly. I wouldn't recommend.

Why does she talk so slowly?

Appreciate the exercises are meant to be relaxing, but listening to the whole book with the narrator talking like she’s trying to put us to sleep is just deeply aggravating.

Brilliant preparation for a new or second time mum

The only issue is finding the tracks you want to repeat listen to without chapter headings. Would be so useful to have an index.
