Writers expose themselves freely and willingly in a way that would have been unfathomable 50 years ago, and more people than ever are writing and publishing. Men and women are writing with equal fervor and commitment to their message and craft. As a result, it’s easy to assume, or hope, that the gendered playing field is a thing of the past, too. Diets don't work for weight loss. Mindful eating does. Find out how, and get started right away!
It is estimated that 45 million Americans go on a diet every year, yet most of those who manage to lose weight regain it in a matter of years.
The diet industry thrives on our desire to lose weight, but ultimately, it does more to trim our finances than it does to trim our waistlines. The truth is that the more we diet, the more out of touch we become with our bodies.
Every second we’re counting calories or banning food groups from our plates, we become less aware of what our body truly needs. And the irony is, it is only when we know what our body needs that we can lose weight in a realistic and sustainable way.
So, if diets don’t work and if calorie counting is a waste of time, how will we ever manage to reach our goal weight?
The answer is mindful eating.
This has become a bit of a buzzword in recent years, but that’s no reason to dismiss it. Mindful eating is the simple concept of being aware of what you’re eating and its relationship to your body. It can change your whole world.
Simply by understanding the mind-body connection and learning to differentiate between what you need and what you want, you can see serious health benefits and lose the extra weight for good - without ever going on a diet again.
In Mindful Eating for Lasting Weight Loss, you’ll learn how to use mindful eating to achieve a balanced relationship with food. You’ll discover:
- A step-by-step guide to practice mindful eating, even if you’ve never tried it before
- The number one thing you need to bring to the table to effortlessly meet your weight loss goals
- How to tell the difference between emotional and physical hunger, as well as tips and tricks to make sure your mindful eating journey is a success
- The reason why 85 percent of people return to their original weight after reducing it and how to avoid making the same mistake
- Why your kitchen matters to your weight loss, and the hacks you need to know to get it on your side
- Proven strategies for success in social situations, so you neither miss out nor feel like a social outcast
- Scientific research that illustrates why mindful eating is so successful, including practical applications that you can use straight away
- The "raisin exercise": how one small fruit can change your outlook forever
- Why you should never count calories, and what you should be doing, instead
- And much more...
If you’ve tried every diet under the sun and still battle with weight loss, you might be thinking that this will never work for you. The difference is that this isn’t a diet, and that’s why it works.
No matter how many times you’ve tried to lose weight unsuccessfully, this approach will change your whole outlook, and you’ll start to notice health benefits and weight loss straight away.
If you’re ready to ditch the diets and lose weight in a way that doesn’t leave you feeling deprived, then scroll up and click “buy now” right away.

Change the way you eat and transform
It sounds ridiculously simple but it's not. Everything we surround ourselves with distracts us from the present moment. Eating dinner while watching TV is one of the biggest culprits to gaining weight. Not being aware of how we eat our food trains our brains to not enjoy eating which increases our portions. Put your fork down. Do not pick it up until you finish your bite completely. Chew slowly and notice the flavours and aromas painting a picture in your mind. This book was everything I needed to become present in the moment and lose fat. The author is very talented. I can't wait to check out their other books!

Straightforward tips for balancing a relationship
Such a well-rounded audiobook. I liked how she mentioned that it is critical to creating a lifestyle instead of trying several diets. The connection between mind and body is explained by knowing the difference between your need and what you want. The narrator is even-toned and easy to follow, without buzzing that results in losing the listener. I would definitely recommend this audiobook for anyone who wants to lose weight while enjoying eating even more!

Mindful eating
I love training. I love learning more about health and having a lower fat body. I enjoyed learning about the mindful eating technique. I found this audiobook very interesting. I wish my parents knew this information, or that people were born with this innate knowledge. Maybe in the future, haha. I also liked that there is an assignment at the end of each chapter and the law of calories that I learned in Chapter 5. I highly recommend this book. There is a lot of great information in the den of this book on living a healthy life in body and mind.

So Sweet to Read
I have read alot of diet books that comes with different meanings but this book finally put things into perspective for me. It addresses "how" to diet, which in some ways is more important than "what" to eat. We all have some idea about which foods make us healthy and reduce our weight, but actually doing it is surprisingly hard. The author takes you step by step through the practical tips needed to stay on course, especially when it gets tough and you want that sugar or salt high. I am already in love with this book it is a great book that talks about understanding your relationship with food and how to use this to your advantage. As a clinician, I find this to be a critical component to my patients well being. Having a resource like this to recommend is beyond beneficial. A very helpful book!

Very Unique approach to Weight Loss!
If you have failed in losing weight using any other popular diets then Mindful eating WILL CERTAINLY HELP YOU [ and that too without sacrificing your favorite foods!!!] Simply copying others blindly without understanding the science behind hunger and eating won't get you anywhere. I was unaware of the concept of Mindful Eating and how it connects to weight loss. But after going through this audiobook, I am able to see so many connections & fundamental laws that hunger and food, in general, has with our mind and bodies. The author not only gives a clear understanding of the concept itself but also helps you along to achieve it with a clear call to action that goes along with each chapter. It doesn't even stop there if you fail at being mindful about your food then Author shares which mindfulness meditations that you can accompany with your daily practice, the benefits of which go way beyond the weight loss. Overall, this book is only for serious listeners who are actually willing to ACT upon the given information.

advice on eating well and living well
Mindfulness is such an important practice in the current fast-paced world. I have learned of mindful eating concept in the past at a meditation camp, so I'm quite familiar with the practice. With my science background, I can see why mindful eating would be beneficial for weight loss, since our brain doesn't register that we are full until 10-20 minutes later. When we eat mindfully, we pay more attention to our senses, which usually result in better eating experience and eating less. My favorite chapter of the book is chapter 8 where the book discusses our view and relationship with food. I think knowing what we want to get out of our nutrition really helps guide us to make better nutrition choices.

Great for building a better relationship with food
Emotional eating is an epidemic in our society, and one that appears to be without remedy. This book approaches the topic in a pragmatic way which allows you to incorporate some simple daily habits into your life and really get to the root cause of the issue. It's not about diets or weight loss plans. Instead it's about going back to basics and developing a good relationship with food once again. It's an eye (or ear?) opening listen and one I'd highly recommend to anyone out their struggling right now.

Very useful!
Picked up this book since I feel like I have had enough of calorie-counting and diets that don't work. I have come to the conclusion that I need to think differently about food, more long-term healthy. I have heard about mindful eating a lot recently and wanted to dig deeper into this topic. I found the book very helpful, and think people that have a complicated relationship with food and dieting, will too. Mindful eating seems to be a healthy perspective to adapt rather than a diet that eventually will fail you. Loved the chapter about stopping counting calories. It was truly eye-opening to me how different calories are and which ones are stored in my body and which ones I will use for fuel. For me, it has been quite life-changing to learn about mindful eating.
