Interesting town
I actually read the book after this one first would have been better if I had read in order. Love this town and it’s people it feels so typical of a small town with all the going ons even though many inhabitants are supernaturals.

more fun again
Vwry entertaining listening - particularly reference to bridges over maddison county. narrators well matched to characters, do a good job. Male narrator particularly great with a human version of bear voice. Well done, great break from reality.

I'm in hysterical awe
i want to be Molly Harper's neighbour, honestly, her sense of humour is exactly like mine. I normally listen to to books on the other end of the spectrum , black ops and military but book 2 of this series is better than book 1. not as much detective work to be done but the characters are brilliant. Zed is hilariously dry in humour and hats off to Jonathan Davis, he delivers this man superbly. the voice the tone and the inflection absolutely makes this character totally enjoyable.
the pace, flow and rythymn of the friendships with their own personalities is so entertaining you just get immersed in the story.
the finer points to a in depth nitty gritty novel is not here but it's Mystic Bayou, it's not meant to be that technical.
comedy, a bit if steam, whodunnit and sassy Danni is just a perfect recipe for this book. thank you Molly Harper for a wonderful story.
and chapter 8!!! what a scream, I laughed to tears at 11.00pm....at night, I don't think I woke anyone.... it's Zed's chapter and oh boy Jonathan Davis did you deliver. that chapter was the highlight of the book and simply the bomb!
But please don't read it without knowing Zed and his friendship with Bael, it won't be near as funny.
Amanda Ronconi, you are fab, your voices are terrific and you bring these characters to their full potential

Love, humour and magic, what more can you ask for
I'm a new fan of Molly Harper, and it was the first book from the Mystic Bayou series that got me hooked on her books. I fell in love with Zed in the first book, and came to love him even more in this book. I just wish the book was longer, not because there was anything lacking, just that I didn't want the story to end.

Love and other wild things
Based on other reviews I was hesitant to read this book but it was just as good as the first one. I’m enjoying the build up of characters and mystery undercurrent. I didn’t feel it was rushed like some reviews. The two narrators are perfect for these books.

Loved it!
Loved everything about this story, especially the feel good, laugh out loud moments!
Narration was spot on again, bringing the characters to life in the best way. This is one series that I am keen to listen to in its entirety. 5* from me!

Missed the emotional journey
Good story, but I didn't really feel the heroine's emotional journey to loving the hero. Her journey to finding a place where she felt at home was more real.

Enjoyable but weaker than the 1st book
Still worth the listen with interesting developments but not as wonderful as the first book, which was full of wild imaginings. I think Harper unfortunately has fallen prey to a publisher's time pressure, forcing her to pump the rest of the series out too fast for Harper to refine her work and cook up super creative ideas. I will leep listening to the next book but may not last the whole series.

Love Zed, Love Dani. Love Mystic Bayou!
Reviewing Love and Other Wild Things after having just read for the second time (completed series a few months back).
Oh I love Zed, there's just something about him. And Dani with all her spunk.
Highly recommend the read along with all others in series.
Unpretentious and so well balanced, never feels like too much of anything.
This series has been a stand out and am yet to find a series with the same amount of wit, fun, charm and character as this.
Love the dual narration, they both do a brilliant job!
