Publisher's Summary

Damien was a simple man, cruising on the highway of life. A goddess of temptation lures him into a deal he scoffs at. Superstition is for the foolish. Small problem: She's real, her ritual works, and Damien is magically teleported into a strange new realm.

Damien awakens in Nordan, a land of myth and magic. A realm where humans battle legendary creatures for the amusement of the gods. In a war between man and myth. Damien's powers set him above the rest, a lord of life and death - enemy of all. Stranded, but not alone, will he perish, or conquer his way home?

It dragged on imo…

The story started off ok, but as it drags on and there’s a lot of information that isn’t necessary, for example the stats constantly being updated taking 30seconds to get through if not more…
In addition the MC as always is oblivious to everything until it’s too late on repeat which doesn’t help,
Disclaimer I had it at 2x speed and skipped a few chapters just to get through it so I could have missed some things…

Not worth it

I don't review many books but i though this book was so bad it needed one. Normally i consume books like this but i felt the book was dull the numbers were silly and the performance was mediocre at best. Within an hour of starting i needed to put the book to 1.5x speed cause the male voice actor was abnormally slow which cause the female to sound high pitched.

The story is okay but the narrator is so boring

At first I didn't mind it but after awhile I realised the narrator was so mono tone and boring that I kept falling asleep and eventually I just stopped listening to a book for the first time ever.
