Story
Ever since Domitian Argenis recognized Sarita as his life mate, he's been waiting for the perfect moment to claim her. Those fantasies did not include him being chained to a table in a secret lab or both of them being held hostage by a mad scientist. Somehow, they have to escape. Sarita has seen some crazy things as a cop, but nothing to rival Domitian. A vampire? Seriously? But his healing ability, his incredible powers, and their mind-blowing physical connection - none of it should be possible, yet her body knows differently.

Story
Roundhouse Publishing editor Kate C. Leever’s first letter to her newest legacy author was intended to impress upon him the growing demand for his “vampire romances.” Though he’d expressed little to no desire for publicity, book tours or the like, it was clear that this was a writer waiting to be broken out. Correspondence with Mr. Lucern Aregeneau tended to be oddly delayed, but this time his response was quick and succinct.
Publisher's Summary
In a sizzling new Argeneau novel from New York Times best-selling author Lynsay Sands, an impulsive rescue pairs a sexy immortal with the woman made to be his for eternity.
Abigail Forsythe's life hasn't been easy lately. Still, if there's one thing guaranteed to take her mind off an empty bank account and abandoned dreams, it's a naked man locked in a plane's cargo hold. A very big, incredibly gorgeous naked man. And when instinct prompts her to free him, Abigail must rely on this stranger for survival - a stranger who leaves her thrumming with need every time they touch.
Tomasso Notte knows he's found his life mate in Abigail. Now he just has to hold on to her. They're miles from civilization, hunted by his kidnappers. Abigail has no idea of Tomasso's abilities or of how intensely pleasurable their unique connection can be. But he's about to show her, beginning with one wild, hot, immortal night.

Gonna return the v audio and read the actual book
When I read a book is more dramatic. With this book I actually fell asleep listening to it and felt as if I missed nothing. I have this problem all the time, getting a book then the narrator makes the book not good so I return it.
I really can't share a lot about the book because I couldn't get pads the narration. I don't envy narrator, they have a difficult going voices they've never done.
So, Abbs finds Tomasso in a cage in the back of her friends cargo plane. She frees him then "BAM!" first sex scene. Just out of no where. So they escape, she hits her head the land on a island where she nurses him back to health, then she gets sick, almost dies and he turns her. His brother (from Runaway Vampire, which is a good book TO READ!) and his life mate show up and it's all sex and not so great narration. So I struggle through the rest of the book to the end. The Italian accent was horrible, with YouTube out there this accent should've been better. I hate saying negative things about a book or narrator because I know hours of work went into it but.....I just didn't feel it.
I'll be returning the book to get my credit back. I think from now on, I'll purchase paperback or hardback of her books and read, it's more entertaining when I physically read the books.

Very good addition to the series :D
4 stars
This was a very good addition to the series. I really liked Abigail and Tomasso and have been curious about what happened to Tomasso after his brother's story in book #23, [book:Runaway Vampire|25706485].
Abigail is a woman at a crossroads. She had been in medical school until her mother got sick with cancer. Since her father wasn't in the picture, Abigail took it upon herself to quit school to take care of her mother. Her mother passed away and Abigail found herself trying to figure out what to do next.
Tomasso is an Immortal, a type of vampire originating in Atlantis that's made by the use of nanobots. Tomasso has a twin brother, Dante, and they have a large family that they're close to. Tomasso and Dante end up in Texas to help with an issue the Immortal council is trying to solve where humans seem to be kidnapping Immortals.
Once Abigail settled up her mother's estate, she didn't know what she should do next so she decided to go to visit her BFF growing up, Jet. Jet had been a pilot in the military once out, took a job working for a private company piloting cargo shipments. Jet was supposed to have a day or 2 off to spend with Abigail but gets called in for an emergency flight to Venezuela. Thinking that visiting Venezuela would be a fun adventure, Jet sneaks Abigail on the plane in the cargo area when they take off. Abigail is surprised when she finds the tarp covered crate that's being shipped is really a tarp covered cage with an unconscious man inside. She takes out the IV that's keeping him drugged and the man (Tomasso) wakes up relatively quickly. He saves them from his kidnappers but they end up in the middle of nowhere.
Abigail and Tomasso end up in an un-populated area about an hour away from Venezuela and have to forge through a jungle in order to find help. Tomasso realizes that Abigail is his lifemate and knows he has to win her but them being in a jungle and Tomasso's lack of blood makes things more difficult. Abigail is confused by Tomasso acting attracted to her one moment and then acting distant the next but she doesn't realize that it's just because he really needs blood and is trying to keep his distance so he doesn't drink from her. Even once they get to civilization there are still issues to deal with that cause some difficulties. Thankfully, Dante and his lifemate show up as well as a few other Immortals and this is a good thing since, with the kidnappers still on the lose, the Immortals are still at risk. Thankfully, things get worked out for the most part and Tomasso and Abigail end the story starting a HEA together.
This was a very good story. I liked Abigail and thought she was a good heroine. She had some body issues before the change and I was slightly put off by that but it wasn't anything major. I liked Tomasso and thought he was a good hero. The story was pretty good...it got a bit slow a couple times but was still interesting enough to keep me engaged. Overall, this was a very good story and I'd recommend it. :)

good Story, but,
The Good: Lynsay Sands story was fun.
The Bad: My audio was all mixed up in the beginning.
I Started to return it, but I wanted to find out about the characters
I Have all her audio books and enjoy her characters.
The audio straightened itself out and I was able to finish the book.
I decided that even with the audio skips and mix up, it was worth the credit.

Good Story, Annoying Narration
Lisa Larsen manages to sound like she is recording this story in a room with a sleeping child in it, as she seems to be checking her voice to not wake someone up. It's annoying. Her emotion and editing is good and well done. I would have liked Abigail and Jet to have the Texas accent, since that is where they are from, and Lucian to have some kind of accent (British usually throughout the series), but it's ok without too. Tomasso's Italian accent is not so great and his character voice is very slow, seeming difficult for Larsen to manage. The story is good although the ending seems to be introducing an element of Science Fiction that hasn't been in this series before and feels very awkward and out of place for a Paranormal Romance. However, that aside, I love the "pene" scene with the crab. Very funny!

Long Awaited Sequel
Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?
Maybe, I got so bored with the endless sex scenes which were almost carbon copies of the previous books. Far too much sex, not enough plot development. Slow paced and not as good as the other books in this series.
What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)
The epilogue was good, the rest was a bit rubbish and anti-climatic.
Which character – as performed by Lisa Larsen – was your favourite?
Tomaso
Do you think Immortal Nights needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?
Yes for the Dr Dressler follow up but please Ms Sands, enough with the repetitive sex scenes.
Any additional comments?
I love this series overall and the Dante one was brilliant so I guess I was just expecting too much from this one. It disappointed. Very well performed though.
