Tesla ist sich durchaus bewusst, dass er sich mit dieser Rettungsaktion seinem Feind ausliefert. Allerdings kann Tesla nicht ahnen, dass ihm auch noch von anderer Seite große Gefahr droht. In London beauftragt James Moriarty Frankenstein und Aleister Crowley damit, ein System zu bauen, das die Weiterleitung von Energie verstärkt. Frankenstein ist sich sicher, dass Tesla nichts von diesem Auftrag weiß.
