Publisher's Summary

Sky Lacroux has finally realized her dream and opened her own tattoo shop in Provincetown, Massachusetts. She's as happy as can be, preparing the shop for its grand opening and renting a cottage in the seaside community while renovations to her new apartment are being completed. The only thing missing is the one thing she longs for and has no control over - love.

Sawyer Bass, a professional boxer, plays his guitar at a local bar to escape the painful reality of his father's deteriorating health and a recent health warning of his own. But when he spots a stunning brunette across the room, escaping reality goes out the window, and the beautiful woman becomes the focus of his next song - and maybe even the rest of his life.

When Sawyer walks into Sky's tattoo shop and sees the woman from the bar - Sky - the chemistry between them is instant. Sawyer is everything Sky could ever hope for in a man. He's honest, loving, sensitive, and potently virile - but boxing goes against everything Sky believes in. The closer they become, the more she realizes that her alpha boxer is waging his own emotional battle - only the battle she thinks he's waging isn't the one that threatens to tear them apart.

What a great story

What another great story from Melissa Foster. It amazes me how she is able to bring all these characters to life. Sky and Sawyer are souls mates, they are halves of a whole, they fit together so well. Both of them have overcome obstacles in their lives that has left them cautious. Sky doesn’t like Sawyer’s profession but she realizes that doesn’t define who he is as a person. Seaside Nights is a wonderful story. B. J. Harrison brings Melissa Fosters characters to life. He is such a joy to listen to.

LOVE IT

The first time Sky sees Sawyer is at bar while he is on stage performing. The next time Sky comes to see Sawyer is when he comes into her tattoo studio. Sky instantly falls for him. When she comes to find out he is a boxer she is torn. The narration of BJ Harrison is incredible. I love audio books, I listen on my way to and from work.

Foster gives readers great, unexpected characters!

Without a doubt, I am hooked on this series. After so many in the series, I don't know how Melissa Foster keeps coming up with characters that are fresh and interesting and then gives them their own unique love story. It really blows my mind that these books aren't just carbon copies of the previous ones!
Sky and Sawyer are probably the most unique characters yet. Sky own her own tattoo parlor and Sawyer is a boxer who also just happens to write poetry/songs and sing his songs with his guitar. Their romance had a gentleness about it that I wasn't expecting from those characters. I think that's what made this book such a pleasure. Sawyer had such a wonderful soft side to him!
As usual, it was good to have the continued story of the characters highlighted in previous books. The Seaside crew is getting ready to add babies to the mix! Squeal!

Sawyer and Sky

Sky is a tattoo artist. She’s just bought her own shop and loves the diversity of Provincetown. Sawyer is a boxer. He also writes songs and plays guitar. Imagine Sky’s surprise when Sawyer comes into her shop soon after she saw him playing guitar at a club. Sky and Sawyer share many interests, but there’s one big problem. Sawyer’s profession goes against everything Sky believes in. Can love bloom when there’s such a big obstacle in the way? Sawyer needs the money from one last fight to cover his dad’s medical bills, but his doctor says he shouldn’t fight anymore. Too many concussions. Will Sawyer fight? Will Sky accept Sawyer’s choice? Will chemistry be enough to overcome obstacles? Is it love, or not?

Melissa Foster sets the scene and creates a good story, and B.J. Harrison does a fantastic job with all of the voices for the characters (and there are many!). It was nice catching glimpses of the seaside girls and their guys, and it was nice getting to know Sawyer and Sky. This audiobook is so descriptive that I could visualize every scene, and B.J. Harrison put the voices into my head.

good book

This was another great addition to this series with Sky and Sawyer's story. The pair were a great couple and I enjoyed them from the start. Both have a strong sense of family with family issues that can be relatable to the reader. I continue to enjoy the return of the characters from the previous books so that as a reader I can catch up with them and I like how the way that they are included in each book. The story moved along well and at a good pace keeping me interested in the story. I liked Mr. Harrison's delivery of the story as he told it well and enthusiastically keeping me engaged in the story. I enjoyed this book from the beginning and would recommend it to others.

This is the perfect read.

Which scene was your favorite?

Seaside Nights is the 5th book in the Seaside Summers series and the 25th book in the Love in Bloom Series. That is a lot of books with reoccurring characters. Yet each book is a new story, with new characters, and some old friends returning to say hi. Melissa Foster has managed to keep each book fresh and new. Each time I pick up a book from her I know that I will meet my new friends and get to catch up with some old ones.

This is Sky’s story. She is living her dream, opening her own shop and being happy with her friends. Yet she is missing love. Enter Sawyer Bass, sigh. Sawyer the musician, the poet, and the boxer. Sky is able to accept the musician and the poet but struggles with the boxer. Fighting is not what an acceptable thing in Sky’s world. She wants to be with Sawyer but is struggling to come to terms with his life. The connection between these two is undeniable. Yet, they have this boxing thing hanging between them. When something happens, unexpectedly, they both question whether their relationship can work. Will they walk away or find each other?

If you are looking for a book that will capture you from the first page and keep you entertained until the last page Seaside Nights is the book for you. This is the perfect read.

Another fantastic romance!

Seaside Nights is another fantastic, heart warming romance from Melissa Foster. It had more of a laid back feel than the previous books in the series, but this was a reflection of Sky's personality and suited the story. Sky and Sawyer made such a great couple and I loved the connection between them. Seaside Nights was well written, with the perfect amount of sweetness, sexiness and angst. I read the book first, but I had to have the audiobook too! B.J Harrison is an amazing narrator and he captured the characters and the story perfectly - it was as if I was right there with Sky and Sawyer!
