Publisher's Summary

"Alright, alright, alright."

Women say I sound just like Matthew McConaughey.

And owning half of Texas, life can't get any better.

Until my inheritance is threatened by my bitch of a half-sister.

Well sugar, that shit ain't happenin'!

The only way to stop her is to get married.

It's in my parents' will.

Fortunately, I know just the candidate - Amanda.

She lights me up as bright as the Dallas sky.

All I can think of is her riding me cowgirl while wearing my Stetson.

But there's more to it.

She's actually making my playboy ass consider settling down.

I'll do everything in my power to win her over.

Including something I have never done before, introduce her to my son....

Texas Sized Romance

Is there anything you would change about this book?

For me I had a hard time getting into this book. There were times I had to put it down and start it again. I could guess what was going to happen and it was pretty stereotypical so that may have been a lot of the problem for me.

If you’ve listened to books by R.R. Banks before, how does this one compare?

This was my first R.R. Banks story and I thought the characters were well developed and overall the book was well written but it was a little "fluffy" and parts could have been left out.

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

Possibly, it does seem pretty well developed like it was made for a movie. It is a has drama, comedy and love. (reminds me of a 27 dresses style movie)

Any additional comments?

If you are looking for a romance to escape into that is a typical love romance this should be right up your alley.

Fake Relationship led to love

The premise of the book was unbelievable, but still a fun listen. The half-sibling (Tiffany) trying to destroy the "heir apparent" (Brady) by all sort of means was unexpected. Some of the characters in this book were very endearing while others were not. Brady is the hot daddy who is estranged from Angie, while faking a relationship with Amanda to thwart Tiffany. Miss Dahlia is the wonderful housekeeper who helps out with the child Nicholas. The story takes place in San Antonio, Texas and has some great imagery. The narrator does a good job with the cadence of the Texas accent. His voice of Nicholas was precious. The female voices were ok, but didn't have as much distinction from one to another. I requested this review copy audiobook and have voluntarily written this review.

Who doesn't want a hot billionare?

This was fun to listen to, the narrator did a great job with the delivery and the character voices were good. The female voices could use a bit more distinction but it wasn't an issue.

The story was engaging and I enjoyed it. I did find it a little stereotypical and nothing that happened was a surprise. However the romance aspect was well done and if you're just after something hot to spend an afternoon listening to then this book will fulfill that need.

I'd say "lukewarm" daddy

I received this audiobook at no-cost from Audiobook Boom. The gifting of this audiobook did not affect my opinion of it.

This just did not work for me. I didn't find the characters all that likable (accept for the young son and the housekeeper) and I just couldn't get invested in the story. The narrator has a nice voice, but the Texan accent used for Brady was a bit forced, and while I would generally be excited about a 3 person first person POV, the reading of the female characters came off as awkward. When I find an audiobook problematic, I ask myself if I would've enjoyed it better if I read it instead and in this case, I really don't think that I would. 2 out of 5 wine glasses.

Big Story in a Small Book!

I was provided this audiobook through Audiobook Boom at no charge by the author, publisher and/or narrator in exchange for an unbiased review.

I kept Matthew McConaughey in mind throughout. The narrator imitated his voice well, but for some reason, he didn’t use it all the time! Having that character in mind, I could accept his playboy ways as just innocent fun. I would have liked the relationship with his son to be more developed. Amanda was the perfect sass to tame this cowboy. A cute and solid romance.

Two Thumbs!

Texas Richboy and Fake To Be Wife Fall In Love

The way the book began, with our ‘hero’ getting off in his suite at a football game during halftime with a server made the battle up hill to come close to liking him. It wasn’t so much the sex but the way he treated the girl afterwards..the way he treated everyone..as if they were disposable.
Amanda wasn’t as difficult to begin to like, but there was no attachment to her either..she was a bit volatile but cooled down just as Brady began to act more in a fashion where you cared more for him.
Mostly my problem with Brady and Amanda was their immaturity
The story has some interesting storylines and the evil half sister was interesting.
I did get tired of the darlin, just like amanda, but I guess he was Texan.
The narrator had a perfect voice for Brady..he could have tried less to sound female. but it wasn’t bad. His tone, timing and emotion were good and the story moved along. Not a bad story, entertaining and the hot value is way up..lots of hit heavy sex. If I had actually liked the hero and heroine the stars would have gone up to a solid 4..it just didn’t blow me away.
