An alien mercenaries’ spaceship malfunctions when passing the Earth, so they are forced to land on top of a mountain in Alaska while the military secures the area and plans a recon mission.  

Deacon, a mysterious man who works for an even more mysterious agency, puts together a team to climb the mountain if the military fails in making contact.  

Dr. Yoshiko Sasaki works for the agency. Her specialty is reverse engineering alien technology. She is selected not only for her brilliant mind but she has climbing experience. Tommy Samson, a full blood Apache, is a mercenary who owes Deacon one more mission. Brett Taylor is an agent whose actions resulted in several deaths, including his partner. The only reason he is picked is because of his friendship with legendary climber Roscoe. He seems to have retired and is now a park ranger.  

Roscoe has no interest in going since the time he went with Brett. He got shot and spent four months recovering. Finally he agrees when Brett tells them lives are at stake. It is not until Roscoe arrives at the mountain does he discover the real mission. He agrees to take the team up the mountain but wants nothing to do with aliens, who have proven to unfriendly. He must get the team up and down in 20 hours. This is when the military will start bombing the site.

The mission is to take pictures and leave. Everyone but Roscoe is caught. He must now rescue the team and get them down the mountain. Roscoe is unaware the military has moved up the time to bomb the site. The bombs will start dropping as soon as the storm passes.
