Fun Sidenote.

First, and I have always said this, the narrator is excellent. It wouldn't be a zombie fallout without Sean runnette. The book is a fun side note to the series. It holds an insight into the universe and worth a listen.

Background info onwho causes the zombie apocalypse

I missed this book and listened to it after book 7. Skipping it didn't cause any confusion but it provided interested background information on who caused the Zombie apocalypse. It was a fun and interesting book

Eeriely Pertinent to Current Circumstances

This series really gets the imagination working, seeing parallels to a pandemic and vaccines pushed by government. Thankfully no zombies. Yet. Be safe, watch your back.

Ok story

Decent story that gets to the point. Explains a few things and overall does a decent job at connecting some things. wish there was a bit more explaining and have the story fleshed out more, but imagination can fill in most gaps.

Mark dude just wtf

So Dude what is this obsession with your maleness?
After all this i realized this is self published so where the lack of a decent editor and I don’t know
I just don’t get it. Why just why?
Dr. Mann really?
Sean Runnetteis the only good thing about this audiobook.
I am Mad at Audiable for making this free and sucking me in to this drivel in between credits.
Im just glad Sean got paid.

Takes a long time to go somewhere.

If you can hang in there its worth it. You'll get some background info. It's just boring till its revealed what this book is about.

History

This novella gives a deeper history of how the zombie fallout came to be that teaches back decades. Another great read or listen.

Research needed

More research into the period would have made this so much better.
Sean is an excellent narrator but not for this story.

Crap absolutely dumb

How do I explain this I first liked this work when I listened to the prequel we’re it shows the police,CDC and military fighting the outbreak this is bad I read the reviews some said don’t listen do the negative reviews ETC,ETC,ETC but this is just to bad the beginning was confusing and I couldn’t quite grasp it but when I started to make sense of it……it just got more dumb as it went I’ll give the performance a good rating. but not the story the virus origins make about as much sense as a flat earthers reasoning of being one is a intelligent choice ….. I could of dismissed the obvious name of the main protagonist being Human but as the story progressed I lost interest fast. The story structure was good the source of the virus and how it became to be absolutely not.

Interesting and entertaining read

Another great listen in the series, I really enjoyed the peak into the beginning and how it all began.
