Publisher's Summary

From Mike Talbot's journal:

"The End...has come and gone. This is the new beginning, the new world order and it sucks. The end for humanity came the moment the US government sent out the infected flu shots. My name is Michael Talbot and this is my journal. I'm writing this because no one's tomorrow is guaranteed, and I have to leave something behind to those who may follow."

So continues Mike's journey. Will he give up all that he is in a desperate bid to save his family and friends? Eliza is coming: Can anyone be prepared?

Good Story.

Nice continuation, but the same problems plague the entire series. Too much time spent on useless dialog. the first 10 times was ok, but gets old quick, especially since the story stalls and mostly serves no purpose at all. And as usual, Tracy and most the other women are cringe worthy to the point that I have always wished she died in book one. It gets worse as the books continue. You would think that living in a zombie apocalypse common sense would be used, but no, she is trully the most annoying person in the book. Overall it's still worth to buy, this is my 4th time reading/listening to this series, and I wish Netflix would do a series on it.

Listened to the little I could handle in 3× speed. Done with the series and author.

Stopping here with this saga

I wish everyone (the author and the readers) all the best I stop reading this saga here as I am not pleased with it. Below are my reasons. Too much time and words spent on nasty jokes, needless thought, and bad humor. And very little to no time spent on the reality: like the fact that the highways or streets are empty of cars, so you drive over 100mph (like every zomby was born after the cars weree neetly parked). All female characters are portrated as bitchy, selfish, egoistic and brainless humans (or vampires). No love is portrated in the books thus far except "family obligation" that is presented as love for the kids and family (even the messed up relationship between Thomas and Eliza). All negative people besides the vampires are rasist "rednecks" or cops or "religious" abusive child molesters. (Usual narative of someone that doesn't vote for the democrats). And no negative person is from NY or LA. And I very much dislike that. Redneck number one, two three etc. But the regular people in this book are constantly "not cursing" and not using sexually abusive words...(except the rednecks, they are allowed to be extremly bad in words and deeds). The narator is good. I have listened him in other books. But in this one as most or all of the dialog is done by men, he is unable to reproduce 20 different mail voices. So the dialog is lost (like when Pail, Mike, Travis and Jason are talking), but all people with possible diverse accent were cast asside or killed (the Russian guy or Alex)

Fantastic storytelling

At first I was skeptical of the narrator. For what the sample offered in the first book, I didnt think his tone match what was being said, and how it was to be said. Well, I'm glad I decided to stop being "voicist" and listen anyway. Absolutely fantastic thus far, and the Narrator has grown on me, he definitely CAN pull off an ADHD/germaphobe/ self deprecating character with a hero complex. Bravo. Highly Recommend!

Warning: not an ending

If you liked the first 3 books, and the mystic/supernatural turn it's taken, then proceed. Fair warning before you buy: Book 4 is not an ending. At least #4 and #5 are needed to achieve some sort of conclusion.

Really had to work to pull another book out...

I really enjoyed the first 3 books, but this one was like a different author all together. I did not enjoy all the back and forth in scenes. It was just too randomly thrown together.
